Location was outstanding. The room was perfect. Loved the bottle shop downstairs.
WIFI was not accessible in our room. The food offerings in the bottle shop downstairs were too limited.

Great location and reception staff were excellent
It’s old and funky

Great location - easy walk to downtown activities. lovely building and enjoyed the attached Bishop Bottle Shop
In-window air conditioning unit meant that we couldn’t fully close the window. It was freezing outside and the window also allowed the street noise in.

The Bishop is a charming boutique hotel with a great staff. Its location is perfect for browsing all the great shops and restaurants in Townsend lovely downtown.
I loved the room! But travelers should expect in an historical building that the bath/shower are very adequate but not opulent. I was not at all bothered by that but if it’s imputing you you should know. Also the bed is a queen rather than a king.

The room was very clean and warm when we arrived
The steps. Need a better way for those with health issues or seniors to climb the upper floors. Its great that the staff are very willing to assist with bags, but they should not need to do that.

Great location. Clean, quaint, safe.
The stairs up to the room were a little difficult to manage with luggage. But not enough to deter from the rest of the visit!

It was nostalgic since we'd been there years ago.
I forgot how many steps there are - busted a gut getting the bags up to the top floor.
I was disappointed that there's no longer breakfast offered, but we did get a recommendation to the Point Hudson Cafe, which was excellent.

It’s old and could use some updating, but it was located perfectly, the staff very friendly and accommodating, the wine garden lovely.
It’s an old building and could use some updating but we’d stay again as the positives greatly outweighed any negatives.

It was close to the water/wharf and a restaurant.
This place was way overpriced. We were offered to park in their parking lot at an extra $10 which was 5 feet away from where we parked for free. For the price there should have been a breakfast. We were offered coffee and pastries at a cost. We had One cup of steeped coffee in the room. The carpet in our room was very stained and old. The bed was very soft. We were very disappointed!! Also for those who don't climb stairs or are handicapped this is not for you. No elevator.

Their beds were very comfortable! The mattress, the pillows and quilt were cozy and we slept well. We also liked the antique furniture and the rooms were spacious. We enjoyed the little coffee and wine shop as part of the hotel. We sat a few hours and enjoyed a latte and the best pistachio shortbread cookies ever!
There were no pictures on the walls, it needed decorating. Also it’s an old building, the air quality needed to improve with maybe air filters.

Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Room smelled-a sickly sweet smell. It didn't smell healthy. I tried to air it out during my 2-days there, but it persisted. It was either the smell of cleaning supplies used or a room deodorizing agent. I woke both mornings with stuffy nose and chest cough.

Clean and welcoming. Short walk to shops and eateries.
I was traveling with my elderly mother. I did not notice when booking that there was not an elevator. Thankfully we were on the 2nd floor. But the 26 stairs to climb was hard for her. I would not have booked here if I had realized she had to use stairs.

Great location, very comfortable room.
There are 44 steps to the third floor. We didn’t realize that on booking, so that was a bit of a challenge.
Staff is unavailable before 9 or after 8.

The Easter brunch was excellent and we enjoyed the bottle shop with evening music.
On-site parking was an extra charge which seems odd.

Lovely building (no elevator..,,,(not a big deal for us, but may preclude others). Clean and large rooms. Not much in the way of storage, but to be expected. Freindly and helpful staff. Only one blanket on the bed...grew cold at night. No soap in the cabinet under sink, so washing dishes difficult.
Overall, will defintitely stay at the Bishop again.

This is a fabulous charm filled boutique hotel. We loved our king suite with the brick wall, fireplace, and high quality linens and bath products.
Port Townsend is a sparkling gem and this hotel is walking distance to everything.
I wish I had stayed longer.

Spacious. Well equipped suite.
Advertised at $224, but then they add $10 / night for parking (which is bizarre given other hotels in the area do not) and then with taxes you're looking at $286. I have to say that I did expect more given that other similar hotels in the town are half the price. Heating was an issue too, since we had to run a space heather to keep the bedroom warm.

Perfect location!
We went on a family trip with my two small children and our pet.
They welcomed us incredibly and everything was very comfortable.
At night we enjoyed live music!

Stairs very difficult to use carrying luggage. There should’ve been help for that, at the least. Ran out of hot water in evening, TV didn’t work for half an hour until Jessica? Not sure who she was… cane up to help us out. She had to phone Eric for help.

We loved the location of the hotel, the lovely garden, and the generous room. But for older adults the stairs snd lack of elevator make handling luggage difficult.
Having someone to assist with carrying luggage up two flights of stairs.

This historic hotel is one of a kind! We loved everything about it - from the original architecture and antiques, to the coffee shop downstairs, to the location! We will be back!

Good location fairly easy to check in.
It was way overpriced I traveled for 7 months in southern Europe and the middle east in 2022 and I had better places for from 50 to 75 dollars a night in high season and that was all book.com. That room is designed only for a single or a couple not for a family or someone traveling with a son or daughter. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. The price should have been no more that 125 dollars a night. This whole Victorian thing was kind of a sham.

Carrying a suitcase up to the third floor is difficult for 85 year olds. Thankfully a younger couple offered to carry the bag from the second to third level.

My room was a large suite with a kitchenette. The bathroom was clean with a great tub. The bed was very comfortable. The location was fantastic, and the building had a likable eccentricity.
Very many stairs, and hard to figure out without signage that check in occurs at the wine bar.

The beauty and well maintained property. The staff were wonderful, very helpful and accommodating.
We humans loved everything. My senior dog had difficulty with the staircase.
