Madams Hill House Killarney by Trident Holiday Homes

Spacious home with four bedrooms, two sitting rooms, large kitchen & laundry. Three bathrooms, one upstairs & two downstairs. Location with a picturesque view of mountain & farmland. 15 minute walk to Lidl Supermarket & 30-40 minute walk to central Killarney. Stayed with family, 3 adults & 2 year old child. Great family home. Contact with Derry, property manager, via whatsapp was ideal. He was very responsive when needed.

A few things to work out, the boiler & hot water. Red switches on/off for individual person showering. Only one person showering at a time. But we worked it collectively. Any problems resolved with contacting Derry.

Nicely equipped and very large allowing my sister, her two kids, my elderly father and his wife and myself and my wife to each have a comfortable bedrooms. There were three bathrooms so no lineups waiting to use the bathroom and the washer/dryer made it so we could pack less for the week in Killarney.

There was no drip coffee maker which is not a big deal but was missed. There is no Wifi internet service at the house. There is a router that is on but the router has no input thus it projects a signal however has no access to the internet. Lastly, while it is walkable to town it is not ideal as you need to walk along a busy road then cross another very busy road before getting into quieter streets...

Enough bedrooms to accommodate 5 adults and 3 children. Washer and dryer on site.

Though it was very hot, no fans were provided. As mentioned, the on-site washer and dryer was nice, however no detergent was provided. There was one only pod supplied for the dishwasher for our three night stay. Towels were supplied but not enough for 8 people. No real outdoor space for children to play safely. Main bathroom had a tub and a hand-held shower head. No bath mats. The children's toys were in complete disarray, with so many pieces missing, they were useless. Overall, did not provide a homey feeling. It gets worse! Clearly visible mould and mildew present in the kitchen. Both on the ceiling and wall behind the sink. In comparison to the other self-catering properties we experienced, Madams Hill House was a disappointment.
