Hyper bien situé - très propre et hyper bien équipé.

Pas de réseau téléphonique, la box n’a malheureusement pas fonctionné quand nous y étions !

Nous avons beaucoup aimé cet appartement, hyper bien situé dans la ville médiévale, mais au calme néanmoins, spacieux, très bien équipé, confortable pour notre famille de 4.

Les oreillers pourraient être plus garnis, mais je chipote 😉

La atención de Maryse para mostrarnos el departamento y recomendaciones de la zona. Muy atenta! Respondía mis msjs super rápido. El departamento está muy bien equipado y en el centro de Sarlat, excelente ubicación! A pocos metros hay un parking gratis por una hora, que viene bien para dejar las maletas y a unas cuadras está el otro parking que se puede dejar sin límite y gratis.

Del baño no era muy cómoda la ducha, nos quedaba baja. Se escuchaban los ruidos del vecino por la mañana.

(1) The location was excellent. The apartment is in the center of town. There is a paid parking lot a very short walking distance and the free parking lot is also very close walk away, which takes you to the base of the public garden (about a 3-5 minute). (2) The kitchen was very functional and had most things anyone would need (ample plates, bowls, utensils, and sufficient pots and plans and cooking implements.) (3)The apartment is compact but still feels spacious enough for four people for a long weekend. Having the shower and sink separate from the toilet also made it easier for four people to stay there. (4) The beds were quite comfortable. *If we had stayed here during any other season than summer we would have rated this much higher.

Important things to note: (1) It is true there is AC, but it is a sole portable AC unit for the entire apartment. The two bedrooms are positioned close to the living room where the AC is, but the angle makes it so that the cool air from the AC does not adequately reach the bedrooms, even with the very powerful fan that comes with the apartment (and with the additional two weaker fans that the host kindly brought for us). We stayed there during a heat wave, so these were exceptional conditions. The coolest the apartment ever got was 26 C (79 F) degrees at 8h. The temperature on the thermostat in the main room remained between 29-31 C (84-88 F) degrees whenever we returned to the apartment in the middle of the day and the evening, even with the AC on at full blast and the three fans circulating. The two bedrooms were much hotter, especially the corner room with two windows. Sadly, with the unpredictability of heat waves, I wouldn't take my chances staying here during the summer unless they install heat pumps in the two bedrooms. It is a lovely flat but the current AC set-up is no match for heat, especially given the flat's position on the top floor. (2) The door to the shower doesn't close properly. We used the handheld shower to try to keep the water from getting on the floor, but it still got very wet. (3) The apartment is on the top floor with a gorgeous skylight, however there is no way to darken the window. This is only an issue on hot days and if anyone sleeps in the living room and is sensitive to light. It was quite lovely otherwise. (4) The pull-out couch won't open if the AC is in the room. Nor is there enough space for it to open unless you move the TV console. (We considered using this so two of us could sleep in the living room with the AC. Instead, we had to put the two small mattresses on the floor in the living room to sleep. The corner bedroom was simply too hot until around 2h when the temp dropped low enough.)
