Lovely Cottars Cottage

Irene and Vince were incredibly welcoming! A beautiful home, it was lovely to sit and have breakfast overlooking their garden with a beautiful rose tree. Wonderful hosts who were lovely to speak to and had recommendations for local food, which really helped. The room was clean, tidy, fresh water for us, our own entrance to the house and parking spot. Very good value for money and great location for the places we wanted to visit.

Cottars was super lovely! The only down side of the trip was lots of rain and wind!!!!

A fantastic place to stay

Irene and Vince were very friendly and helped us with everything. Their recommendations were also very useful. The room was fantastic, quiet and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, healthy, and we really loved it.

Wonderful place to stay

Loved the location, the hosts, they were particularly good with my son. Very welcoming. The home was very comfortable and set in beautiful countryside. Just what we wanted. They baked bread for breakfast every morning which was a big plus.

The only thing which could improve was the amount of cobwebs and dust in the rooms and bathroom which made inviting homes for a number of spiders.

Brilliant stay!

We loved our stay here! The location was fantastic for Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Old Harry Rocks, The Blue Pool and Dorchester. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful stay.

What a great find! We loved Cottars. Irene and Vince were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Spotlessly clean and a really lovely spacious room. Breakfast was also great and it really set us up for the day. If we get the chance, we will definitely be back.

Excellent place to stay for long weekend.

Room was clean, good views Breakfast was good. Hosts were very friendly and it was nice talking to them on breakfast.

No ensuite, although had a private bathroom opposite the room across the hallway. But it wasn't a major issue.

We had a great short break and really enjoyed ourselves.

Vince and Irene are lovely people and very welcoming. The property is in a fantastic location to get around to various Dorset attractions and there are a couple of great local places to eat that are on the doorstep. Clean and well maintained with off road parking.

Its a personal choice but would have preferred some additional options at breakfast and to include a cooked breakfast rather than just a continental. Seating in the bedroom would also have been a great addition to the stay.

Good choice for continental breakfast: cereals, yoghurt, hot croissants, home made bread for toast, ham & cheese. Fruit too. Loved the fact that there was a separate area for guests with a fridge where we could put water and food. Great views from breakfast table

Amazing place, Amazing People, Amazing stay

Irene and Vince were amazing. The breakfast was fresh and cooked as you turned up in the morning. They were interested in learning more about their visitors and were absolutely lovely. Loved their dogs also, so cute! Absolutely beautiful garden to look out at whilst you have breakfast. We also went to the Red Lion for dinner, 100% recommend out of all the pubs near, its literally next door, the staff are beyond lovely and food is great.

The TV was a little small, but you're on holiday you're not supposed to be sat in watching TV anyway.

Beautiful location and a beautiful property. Very comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast with freshly baked home-made bread was a great start to the day. Even got to feed the chickens in the garden! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely B&B and perfect location to Jurassic Coast

We stayed in the family rooms upstairs. The king bed is comfy, my kid enjoy the twin room next door on her own. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Tea bag and coffee are provided in the room. Happy to find decaf coffee as well. Ice water in the fridge is a bonus. Breakfast is fresh made bread, served with cheese and ham. There are yoghurt, fruit, assorted cereals provide on breakfast table. It is just 10 min away from Durdle Door. We arrived on a rainy day but the sun suddenly came out at 18:00. We could head to Durdle door immediately and took some awesome photos. Irene the owner is nice and helpful.

Good stay overall

Breakfast was good, lovely view into corn field. Great location for visiting Lulworth cove, Durdle Door beach and the Jurassic coast Trail. Rooms very clean, comfortable beds.

Preferably hot breakfast option. We didn’t like the quiet time restriction.

Highly recommend Cottars.

We were made most welcome by Irene & Vince. The bed was very comfortable. We had a great nights sleep. A pub was within walking distance for a good meal. Durdle Door & Lulworth Castle were just a short drive away. Irene told us how to get there the quickest way. Enjoyed our continental breakfast.

Slightly small bathroom, and staying at the front of the house was a noisy road which can’t be helped.
