Our stay was excellent, we felt welcomed and would stay there again.

The host was extremely friendly, hospitable, and helpful. The breakfast was ample and excellent and contained home-baked bread, cookies, and cake. The breakfast room, located in a courtyard with magnolia trees, was cosy and bright. The location was very good - it took about 15 minutes by foot to reach the city centre. The communication with the host was very straightforward and it was easy to organise our arrival.

The doors to the rooms are quite thin, so we could easily hear the people from the adjacent room.

A great hotel in Bologna!

Hospitality is amazing, a great family run hotel, and both Sara and her mother go to the extent of making amazing food for the breakfast, genuinely one of the best apple cakes I've had. The little touches in the room like the biscuits with the tea also make the room feel more homely. Well worth the stay if you are visiting Bologna and don't mind the distance to the city centre

I had a short stay, so I can't say if there was much to improve. But I did notice that at least in my room, the blinds for the windows were a little hard to control and I think it would be great if there was a sink in the breakfast room so I can wash my hands.

Great hosting, breakfast and atmosphere. The rooms are very clean. Only problem was the shutters.

The "hotel" is family owned and the staff is members of the family, so the environment is very friendly. Before I even arrived they were very helpful by providing me information on how to get there.

My room was on the ground floor and the windows of my room didn't have good shutters, so I didn't feel fully private. I'm expecting that in every other room this should be very different.

Fantastic, helpful hosts. Great location and B&B

We cannot express how amazing this wonderful B&B is-it was one of our favourite stays in our 5 week trip. We loved the very friendly hosts (thank you Franca and Sara) breakfast with a personal touch and assistance with arranging local tours. The location is excellent, breakfast and all facilities were perfect.

A very welcoming and beautifully decorated accommodation, with a gorgeous and tranquil garden. We appreciated the warmth of the host, who always greeted us with a smile and helped us with anything we needed. A delicious breakfast with various options, taken in the garden.

Worth every moment.

The host and her family were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely helpful and loads of fun. Parking is always a challenge in Italy but the parking here was perfect. It was right across the street. The location was easy walking distance to sightseeing, tours, restaurants and bars. We felt extremely safe walking late at night. We would stay there again .

Great property, very clean and well priced

The room and bathroom were immaculate, as was the breakfast room. The bathroom was spotless and gave the appearance of being brand new. The bed was very comfortable and a decent sized room. About a 10 minute walk to the centre but also on the bus route too. Franca, the owner, was very friendly and helpful with advice regards buses, travel and where to go in Bologna. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever return to Bologna

Perfect place to stay in Bologna to feel Italian atmosphere away from tourists.

Exceptional clean place- fantastic! Great, typical Italian, sweet breakfast, with options for a specific diet. Famous cakes are really worth to try 🤩 Lovely coffee bars & places for a glass of wine next to B&B; with zero tourists. Safety on highest level- great place for solo travelers. Best place of all 5 that we stayed before in Bologna. Kettle and moka express in the room. Lovely balcony. Kindness and good vibes of owners are highly contagious 🥰🥰🥰🥰 one of the most welcoming people in the world 🥰🥰🥰

Unique, hidden gem in Bologna centre. perfect for business trip or leisure.

A little gem. Hidden away from the busy streets and behind the bigger buildings. like a quiet sanctuary. quite unique and only a short walk to the centre and expo area. brilliant place and will definately come again. Made a change from a hotel and possibly had more charm. I have stayed in different places in Bologna and this was by far the best for a short stay. my room even had a kitchen.

there wasnt really anything to say that anyone could dislike. everything was great.

Cosy B&B with friendly hosts full of Italian charm and hospitality

What a wonderful and charming B&B. The hosts Sara and Francesca are lovely, friendly, and beyond welcoming! They have the perfect balance of making you feel like you are staying at a friends’ place and giving you privacy. My husband and I enjoyed seeing them at breakfast everyday. There are sweet breakfasts each morning, with either fresh deliveries from a bakery or delicious home cooked cake made by Francesca, as well as fresh fruit, toast, etc. The rooms are spotlessly clean (even the fussiest person will not find fault) and have everything you need. The location is excellent, 15 mins walk to the centre of Bologna and a direct 15 mins bus (number 21) from the railway station. But the best part is that La Magnolia feels homely and cosy. There is also a delightful little dog Margot who is very cute and well trained! Thank you Francesca and Sara from both of us! We will stay with you again whenever we are in Bologna!

Lovely stay in an old family house

Sara and Franca were just amazing! It felt like home! Really loved our vacation and wish we could stay there a bit more. Rooms were clean and cozy, it really felt like we were some old friends and we were welcome there. Sara shared some recommendations about eating out and we didn’t have to disappoint! Breakfast was really good! The city was 15-20 min walk away. Pretty nice and full of good food! Nice and safe neighborhood. In the room was a small fridge with water and juice, some biscuits and coffee/tea. Would love to visit them again! x

A warm and familial guesthouse

Super friendly family to look after us. We particularly appreciated their help in finding us a taxi to the airport under difficult conditions. We liked the size of the room, the little kitchenette with tea and snacks as well as the large, comfortable bathroom. We liked the location because it was quiet yet just a few minutes walk to the entrance to the historical center.

We appreciated the homemade pastries, cereal, yoghurt and fruit for breakfast but i would personally prefer a little more protein.

The hosts are the absolute BEST — Sara has helped us a lot in regards to transportation, check-in and check-out, also booked a taxi for us … Franca is the sweetest and friendliest person! Her breakfast is WOW with her homemade sweets. The room was always clean and spotless. The outside area is amazing and offers a relaxed ambience. Loved that nothing from the streets is heard from inside the room. The location is not central however not very far away by walking which offered a different view of the city. Lots of amenities close-by such as pharmacy and supermarket.

Lovely Ladies Franca and Sara will do everything to make you feel at home in the magnificent city of Bologna. You won't feel like a stranger, but like a good friend! The wonderful location will allow you to enjoy the proximity to the city center and at the same time the peace and quiet. The absolute cleanliness will delight you. Signora Franca bakes wonderful cakes that will please you in the morning! I will miss them and Bologna and will definitely call Sara and Franca when I plan to visit this beautiful, tasty, and charming city again!

The most wonderful hosts

The staff are probably the best hosts we have ever had - kind, friendly and eager to help in any way they can. Both Sara and her mother are wonderful - they have helped us arrange various things from a taxi pick-up to a New Year's Eve Party. The rooms are large and clean, equipped with everything one may need. The inner yard is also very beautiful, with the largest magnolia trees we have ever seen. Delicious breakfast with cakes baked by Sara's mother too. We couldn't have asked for a better accommodation for our stay in Bologna.

Felt like home away from home. Franca took great care of us and was such a sweet person! Everything was clean, smelled great, and the breakfast area was also really nice. Totally recommend it when in Bologna.

Great hosts, convenient location, excellent stay.

Breakfast was quite good, especially considering we are never sure what to expect after Covid. Location was a very nice area with many cafes and restaurants and about a 30 minute walk (or convenient bus) to the old city center. Most notably Franka and Sara were fantastic hosts. Great recommendations, made reservations for us, and even got up early to prepare breakfast so we could eat before an early flight. The room was good, but they made the difference. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Room was a little small, but clean and quite comfortable for us.

Spacious, central and comfortable. Sara and her mum were friendly and accommodating with all manner of local suggestions and booked us a taxi to the airport upon our leave. Had a wonderful time here and would definitely recommend
