Very spacious, sparkling clean Karoo house set in pretty garden with secure, off street parking. The housekeeper met us and showed us over the house explaining everything before leaving. The kitchen was well equipped and there was very good hot water. The beds had electric blankets - a great comfort for a cold August night.

What a wonderful stay at Jack of the Karoo! Everything was absolutely spotless, and we had everything we could possibly need. It was freezing cold, but with two indoor fireplaces, we could stay warm and cosy. The beautiful soft blankets and electric blankets on the comfortable beds were absolute lifesavers! The garden is incredibly neat and well cared for, and there is a lovely outdoor braai area which we would definitely have enjoyed if the weather had been a little warmer. And the absolute highlight of our stay… IT SNOWED! What a magical experience! Janine was incredibly thorough with all the information about our stay and really thought of everything. We felt well informed and looked after from the start. A very special mention must go to Angeline, who welcomed us when we arrived. What a lovely, warm and caring person! She is an absolute gem. I actually felt a little sorry for her when we left, knowing that she had only three hours to wash and dry all the bedding before the next guests arrived — especially in such cold and wet weather! I really hope she managed! We loved our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend Jack of the Karoo to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming and beautifully cared-for place to stay. We’ll definitely be back!

There should be a tumble dryer for Annalise to dry bedding for the next guests.
