The guesthouse is a welcome oasis - it is the second time we visited Volgenoeg and it again far exceeded our expectations. The neatness of the rooms and the well-kept lawn and pool area exceeded what we experienced about a year ago. The host was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. This place is highly recommended if you like a farm atmosphere but with all the comforts of home.

The accom was very neat and comfortable. It has a gas stove which was very convenient especially during loadshedding.
The kitchen area is very small and not enough table or counter space to work on. Luckily we had a fold up table with us which we used in the kitchen during our stay. We were a group of runners from Cape Town who took the trip to Oudsthoorn to run the Cango Marathon and as a tradition amongst ourselves we have a braai after the race. We were not allowed any visitors on the premises. We were not allowed to check-in earlier or check out later. Check-in and check-out times are strictly adhered to.
