The property had all the necessary amenities like towels, basic toiletries and the kitchen was equipped. The appartement is really good value for money. We were travelling up north for my university graduation in Durham and everything in the city was excessively overpriced. This property is only a 17 min drive from Durham city center and not far from some beautiful country side. We really enjoyed our stay.
Could do with a couple more kitchen utensils like oven trays and chopping boards. Not much of an issue for us as we were only there for 2 nights but any longer and we would have cooked a couple more meals.

Good sized living room and kitchen

The property is well located for everywhere in the North East. It has a large kitchen and large lounge and the shop up the road is very handy and there’s a nice fish and chip shop opposite. The property was generally clean and there was a good supply of tea and coffee and lots of fresh towels
There is some disrepair to the property which is a shame as the owner takes a £250 damage deposit but must not use it to make repairs when there is actually damage. There were some fire safety concerns when I was there which were only rectified after I’d gone (lack of smoke detector upstairs, only one key for both fire exits, no fire extinguisher). Getting this sorted with the owner and Booking.com was like pulling teeth. I expect it was the call from the local fire and rescue service which prompted some action.
