First, Candidasa has made an effort to clean up the casual rubbish problem. It has public bins and signs and it seems to be working well, at least away from the main road.
Classy place that has two areas - by the dining area and by the sea. Easy to move between them. Has lots of common areas and a nice spacious and relaxed feel to it. We stayed in huts by dining which were a bit older and cheaper. Upstairs is best. Both pools were very good. Was one of very few places with an easy access and nice, private beach. New boardwalk may impact this in the future? Room large, comfortable, clean and had a great non slip floor. Had a slightly worn feel to the bathroom, but rest was really nice. Had an overhead fan. Located a short walk to warungs and other shops yet pretty well out of the way from anything busy. No mosquitoes. Good enough standard breakfast. Has a full menu for other meals if required.
No safe. Bed a bit small for tall me. (Beach rooms had larger).

Wifi signal was very poor and staff couldn't help fix. There was not enough hot water to fill the bathtub, making the bathtub not possible to use.
Better to have 2 night stands with lights. One of each side of the bed, not enough hot water for the tub, wifi signal barely working in the room.
