Everything was wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. The room was cleaned daily and very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the view of Mount Agung was absolutely breathtaking- truly unforgettable. The pool was amazing, surrounded by nature, peace, and silence. This place radiates calm and harmony. I would love to return here one day 💙
Nothing- everything was perfect.

We stayed in Room 201, which featured a private pool and an overhanging net perfect for lazing about. The view from the room was absolutely captivating—Mount Agung, its surrounding valley, and the padi fields were simply stunning.
We visited several other establishments in the area, and by far, we think Patal Kikian offers the best views.
The staff deserve special mention as well. They were amazing, with prompt responses to our requests via WhatsApp. Both the spa experience and the guided walking tours were exceptional.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and it ranks among the most relaxing experiences we’ve ever had.
We felt that the food could have received more attention. While it wasn’t bad, it lacked the depth of flavour and complexity compared to nearby dining options such as Koli Koli, Asri Dining, and Sleeping Gajah, all of which are just a short drive away.

I believe it’s the most beautiful place on earth.
The room we stayed in was special, perfectly designed, cleaned, attention to details, everything perfect. I don’t even want to start talking about the breath taking view
Everything is perfect

Loved my one night stay at the villa. My room was comfortable and had an incredible view. The staff were so great and I loved my morning trek to nearby fields. There was AC in my room and wifi worked well. Lot's of food options and everything I had tasted great.
Area is a little tricky for walking because of traffic and hills but the hotel is so great I just stayed there!

Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. From service, location, facilities, food to staff kindness and value for money. I strongly advise anyone to go to this venue if you want a memorable experience.

You come for the views which are insane! The pool and generally the hotel grounds are nice. Helpful, friendly and attentive staff. Bed also has mosquito netting.
Rooms are dated and have gaps at the doors and the wooden walls which makes the Aircon pretty ineffective - that's not too bad as the area cools down at night. The shower is more like a hose and warm water stopped twice midshower which was fixed by the staff within 5 minutes.

Everything! It is amazing: clean, the most amazing view from the room that we had in our life!
Maybe the food is not something that i will remember specifically but it was good, we ate all for everything we ordered!

We got the private pool villa as we wanted to enjoy a nice sunrise and see Mt.Agung. And we did indeed see a beautiful sunrise, the views from the villa are not comparable to anything else. What we did not expect but received was a nice welcoming foot massage and a very lovely and educational rice trekking tour with their local guide (sorry forgot your name, but I know you come to hotel from Amed everyday!). The villa itself was beautifully decorated and comfy.
It is quite expensive compared to other places we visited in Bali. But you are paying for the view and the service/staff was lovely also. :)

Breathtaking views.
Amazing infinity pool with a view
Amazing rooms with mountain view and acces to the pool.
Fantastic exotic garden!
Very good breakfast and food in general!
We were accommodated in probably the best room, situated at the top of the hill, which truly resembled a small temple!
The boxed to-go breakfast.

There’s very little we didn’t enjoy about this property. It was wonderful

We stayed here for the first two nights of our Bali visit. Turned out to be a great place to "land" and start the holidays. Lovely, small resort on a hillside. Really, really beautiful. Overlooking a valley with a volcano at the far end. Very quiet and extremely attentive and friendly personnel. Nice swimming pool; we could even get out afternoon tea served there. Spa / massage on the premises, and some very tasty options on the restaurant menu.
Maybe a tiny bit pricey, but would still not call it overpriced. The pump delivering water to the bungalow fell out a couple of times, but it was fixed quickly. Be prepared for a couple of steps to get around.

Pretty location even though it's in the middle of nowhere, nice staff
Way overpriced for what it offers. Basic accommodation for the price, very low standard. No proper windows or doors just shatters, stains on bedsheets, very uncomfortable bed (got back pain from it). Very noisy neighbours playing loud basy music all day and night. So much for peace and quiet...

The location was fantastic with stunning views from the villas and the infinity swimming pool. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous and helped arrange taxis and activities. The breakfasts were great with various options, as were the evening meals we had there. We enjoyed the cookery class (and eating the end products which was a full meal !). There was also complimentary afternoon tea and a free 15 min foot massage for guests to enjoy.
It was a bit of a walk down the hill to Sideman village centre so you would be better using a taxi.

We loved our stayat Patal Kikian Villas in Sidemen. David Bowie and Mick Jagger had stayed there before and they were right. Those guys are rock stars. They have a very noce restaurant and the villas are located on a hillside overlooking miunt Agung. Very nice location and excellent service.

We had a wonderful stay on this beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and provided a really good service. Special thanks to Agus who greeted us with a smile everyday! The restaurant had an amazing view on the rice fields with nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. Despite the rain everything was perfect.

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated in Balinese style, and exceptionally clean. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of Mount Agung – you can enjoy it right from your bed or the infinity pool. The canopy bed with mosquito net added a cozy and romantic touch.
Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared every morning. There was a nice selection of both local and Western options – fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs made to order, and really good coffee. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking the rice terraces was the perfect way to start the day.
The food at the on-site restaurant was also great. While the menu isn’t huge, everything we tried was tasty and well-prepared. The traditional Balinese dishes were especially good. Having dinner there as the sun set behind the volcano was absolutely magical.
We’d love to come back one day – such a peaceful and special place!
all perfect

Property was exceptional, our room had the best view. In night you can hear river flowing near by, if sky is clear you can see stars and sunrise is quite amazing. Breakfast was good, staff were welcoming and polite. Absolutely loved our stay, wish we could could stay even longer.

•The location was the main reason we booked here. You’re away from the village center but the view of Mt Agung is unlike anywhere else. The view is stunning no matter where you stay on the property, it became mesmerising. Even the locals commented on the beautiful view from this hotel.
•The landscaping is beautiful here and the property is well maintained. I could hear the gardener singing as he pruned leaves and it was a lovely thing to witness.
•As soon as we arrived in the room, I could see that the room was very clean and almost new like. Our previous stay in Ubud was not very clean or maintained so coming to this bungalow was a treat. Great mini fridge with snacks and wine to purchase. The highlight was the canopy hammock outside with the private pool.
•I would recommend hiring a motorbike as grab is limited here and most things are at a distance. Ayu in particular was very helpful in getting us checked in and helping us every time we visited for afternoon tea.
•Our room was very clean but it had no insulation (wood cabin with the private pool). So as soon as the sun came up, it felt like we were being cooked inside. It was hotter than outside. We hiked Mt. Batur one morning (3am-10am) and we wanted to come back to the room and nap a bit but it was impossible because it was so hot. Had I known, I would’ve booked another room that had insulation bc the lack of sleep that day made the next travel day very hard. The absence of insulation also meant we could hear everything outside, so sleeping in was not possible as landscaping started very early. So if you’re an early riser and have no desire to spend anytime in your room during the day, then book the wood bungalow with the private pool bc it was a special experience
•Staff was very kind and attentive but food was usually overcooked every time we ate. Massages were not good, could use more training. Would also recommend moving reception/lobby to the open air building near the pool as it looked unused. When we went, reception was in the restaurant and we arrived with suitcases and signed papers, made payment etc while people were trying to enjoy the view during afternoon tea.

Stunning view. Beautiful staff. Amazing breakfast.
A number of visitors used the pool even though they weren’t staying there. A large very noisy disrespectful group of 10 people arrived at 5:45am to take photos and woke up all the villas and ruined the peace. We were asked by the group to get out of the way for sunset photos even though they weren’t staying there. They argued with us and yelled at us.

We booked this place for our Sidemen stay because of the views and they did not disappoint. Waking up to the majestic views of Mount Agung and the surrounding countryside was just out of this world. It is very peaceful at the hotel and relaxing to chill at the infinity pool admiring the views. The staff were lovely and the meals at the restaurant was quite nice. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Our villa felt very traditional with its sculpted wooden doors and high beams. Was nice yet a bit dated. In our first night there was a thunderstorm with a lot of rainfall and a bit of water seeped into through a few window panes and the wind would make the doors move slightly. There was also a gecko which was pooing from above, which I found charming but my partner not so much, especially when one poo fell on the bed sheets. But if you are staying close to the jungle, you can expect some interaction with the wildlife. The location is not the best, as it is a bit far away from the Sidemen town area, but then again, it is a small price to pay in order to be in admiration of the Mount Agung views every waking hour.

The view is amazing. Great view of the volcano and valley. The swimming pool has an amazing view too.
Everything is a bit old and neglected. Around the pool, they have only two parasols, so impossible to be there in the afternoon. The bed are small and uncomfortable. The bathroom is old and without any windows. The food is so bad.

Amazing view, very kind and friendly staff, delicious food. We enjoyed our stay so much. Hint: if you want good photos with the volcano without clouds, wake up for the sunrise.

The most beautiful view of any place we have stayed in the world. Staff was incredibly friendly. The bathroom was outdoors but we loved being able to take a shower under the stars. The food wasn’t anything special but did the job. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Some aspects of the rooms are dated but everything is made up by the stuff, amazing food, and the stunning views!

I truly recommend the place if you choose to stay couple of days in Sidemen area. It is very clean , the infinity pool it s very nice , but what impressed us the most was the stuff. The most kind and nice people we’ve made in any accommodation we’ve been to in Bali . Great experience ! We will for sure come back again if we will be back on the island .

The staff is absolutely wonderful and the view over de volcano and rice terraces is magnificent. The food at the restaurant is very good too.

Room was beautiful and we were kindly given a free upgrade and flower decoration for our honeymoon. Absolutely stunning views of the rice fields and volcano from the room and pool. Main pool had a lovely area to relax. Staff were really friendly. Spa had treatment room with a view and the massages were excellent and really good value.
The pool in our room was over chlorinated leading my partner to have an allergic reaction. Main pool was fine.
