That's a special place in Sidemen. Rooms are comfortable, the pool is remarkable, and the staff is very welcoming. You live in the jungle, so don't be surprised by the sounds around you :) It is definitely worth staying even for at least one night and taking pictures with your eyes.
One score less due to the restaurant. We had lunch and we missed for spices and character. Maybe it was just only us, but we are not alone here, so maybe it is worth improving the quality.

Staying in Patal Kikian Villa is really exciting because of the unique views on the valley and mount Agung. This hotel and its staff is truly amazing. You would experience a lot of luxury and ‘top-of-the-bill’ service in a beautifull surrounding. The hotel offers a lot of service, including massages, tours and cocktails at the infinity pool. To us it’s an unforgettable experience. So once more to all the beautiful staff: “Terima kasih!”
When exploring the Sidemen area you’d better choose a guided tour or rent a scooter. Even if you want to go to the village, because this is not on walking distance.

My wife and I recently spent seven wonderful nights at Patal Kikian Villa, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Perched high on the mountainside across from Mount Agung, the property offers breathtaking views of Bali’s lush rice terraces and surrounding valley below. The resort’s stunning infinity pool, facing directly toward Mount Agung, was truly take-your-breath-away beautiful and one of the highlights of our stay.
The property itself features nine unique and very private villas surrounded by impeccably maintained tropical grounds. Each morning, an army of dedicated groundskeepers could be seen pruning, sweeping, and caring for every detail to keep the resort picture-perfect.
Because the villa is somewhat remote, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner daily at the on-site restaurant and were impressed by the variety and quality of the menu selections. The complimentary afternoon tea service with delicious teas and finger foods was another wonderful touch. We also enjoyed first-class massages at the spa and appreciated the villa’s assistance in arranging two excellent private day trips with local guides.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the staff. Every employee we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help. We would especially like to recognize Santika, Ayu, Dewi, and Eva, who went above and beyond to make us feel more like friends than guests. They are wonderful ambassadors for Patal Kikian Villa, and we look forward to returning again in the future!

Pretty location even though it's in the middle of nowhere, nice staff
Way overpriced for what it offers. Basic accommodation for the price, very low standard. No proper windows or doors just shatters, stains on bedsheets, very uncomfortable bed (got back pain from it). Very noisy neighbours playing loud basy music all day and night. So much for peace and quiet...
