Rosalia House

We had a fantastic stay at Rosalia House. The apartment was fantastic, comfortable, quiet at night and perfectly located. Salvo was a wonderful host, friendly, thoughtful and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Communication was excellent, from the arrival instructions to answering our questions, and the breakfast vouchers were lovely! There was some nearby construction work that occasionally affected the water pressure, but it didn't really detract from our stay. We loved our time here and felt very welcome. We'd happily return and would definitely recommend Rosalia House. Thank you, Salvo, for helping make our first visit to Sicily such a memorable one! 😊

The location was absolutely fantastic. It would be hard to find a better base for exploring Ortigia and Syracuse on foot. My flight was unexpectedly diverted to Palermo, which made my arrival quite complicated, but Salvo kept checking in and made sure I could check in without any problems. I really appreciated his help. The flexible self check-in was also extremely convenient. I also enjoyed the breakfast arrangement at the café near the Temple of Apollo. Although the property itself is old, I actually slept very comfortably there. The water pressure was low, but the hot water worked very well.

As the property is located in an old building in the heart of Ortigia, the facilities are quite dated overall. Having to lock and unlock the door with a padlock was a little inconvenient, and it would have been nice to have at least one bottle of water in the refrigerator. The roadworks around the property and the low water pressure were also quite inconvenient for me.

The location was good. Not far from The Temple of Apollo.

The washroom was so small and the water pressure was terrible. The kitchen wasn’t that spacious and the walls were made out of plaster and the plaster and dust was crumbling off the walls.
