The Jenny Lind

Great location in the old town. Really close to lots of different bars, restaurants, the sea front and vehicular railways. Staff really friendly and great atmosphere in the bar during the evening when we were treated to a local band playing. I'd definitely stay there again.

Struggling to find negatives tbh... bed was a bit soft for my liking, but that's personal preference. Some of the fittings were a bit dated, but hey - perfectly functional. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

Live music on Friday night - not a problem but if you want a quiet early night it’s not for you!

* The staff are always genuinely friendly and helpful, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back whenever I’m in Hastings. They always make me feel very welcome. * The bed is incredibly comfortable with a thick, bouncy mattress, and I slept really well. * A power fan was provided in the room, which I really appreciated during the unusually hot weather. It stayed on throughout my stay! * Great location in the characterful Old Town, with pub downstairs as well as plenty of pubs, restaurants and attractions within walking distance.

* During this visit, the weather was exceptionally hot, and the room became very warm despite having the fan. * My room overlooked the back alley and garden, so I couldn’t really keep the curtains open for privacy, which made the room feel even warmer. * It was so hot that I wasn’t in the mood for the Jenny Lind’s wonderful special still cider, which I absolutely loved on my previous visit. I’ll just have to come back and enjoy it another time!

Great location and welcoming staff.

Room was a little dated, albeit well maintained. The room was generally clean, but there was dust in the radiator and on top of the wardrobe. There was a very useful fridge in the room, but it was extremely noisy.
