I wouldn’t recommend this place to Asian travelers.

Even if the house was nice and cozy, it was impossible to like it.

It was the worst accommodation experience I’ve had. The problem wasn’t the facilities but the host’s lack of hospitality. I’m not sure if it was because we’re Asian, but it really felt like we were treated differently. Most reviews said the host was warm and friendly, but we didn’t feel that at all. The bathroom wasn’t inside the room. It was clean and right across the hall, but constantly going in and out was really inconvenient.

Welcome home!

The location was our main focus as we went to do some genealogy study, but end up being perfect to walk to town and to the Abbey. Lovely place with manicure garden and a lovely host.

The area that this B&B located seems safe. Our bedroom is OK.

The B&B has a very restrictive rule for check-in (by 8pm). As we arrived late, the host was very unhappy and rude to complain.

We had a lovely two days at Margaret’s place. She made us feel welcome from the word go.

A beautiful, relaxing and perfect haven, to switch off and relax comfortably

Welcoming and in a beautiful quiet location Only a 10 minute walk from the time, Hillgrove House provided a safe haven to really switch off and relax Margaret is a delight, friendly and accommodating to any and all guests! The room was beautiful, one of the most comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in, and had a beautiful view, being able to see the village and mountains from it

Hillgrove House is the best!

Margaret’s Hillgrove House was the best base for my explorations of Boyle and the county! Warm and welcoming! The bed was just right. I spent a few hours just reading in my easy chair by my window. Breakfast was lovely. The garden was so pretty in the evening when I returned. Everything is spotless.

Margaret is an absolute legend, we hit it off straight away, lovely room and everything was great. Fiona gets a special mention for being an absolute dote even if she supports the Rhubarbs for some unknown reason. Some great laughs were had. Will definitely be back for a visit. Unfriendly owner

Fiona was very friendly, she was helping out the owner and contacted her for us when we were put in a double instead of the twin we booked. She was very kind.

The owner's bad mood ruined our stay. Breakfast was rice crispies and toast and some fruit but we did not feel welcome at all, then the owner sat with us for breakfast to complain about life. Couldn't get away quick enough.

Margaret was very welcoming & we appreciated being able to use her kitchen. The house was very clean & tidy, with a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect in every way

Wonderful view over the Boyle meadows while eating breakfast was a highlight. Just a short walk into town. But by far we most enjoyed the host. She was a wonder and a delight. We will definitely be coming back.
