Mauthaus Schönbrunn

Location to the nearest tram going into city Center, Very comfortable beds. Nice treats from owner.

Heavy steel door. Can hurt you if you are not aware of closing door behind you. Face door as you close it slowly with hands away from edge of lock.

A lot of thought and effort has gone in to the design of the property, very quirky and well equipped. Located not right in the city centre but a couple of stops on the metro and the station is less than a minute walk. Only a couple of stops in the other direction for Schonbrunn Palace. Well priced by Vienna standards. There is a nice Vietnamese restaurant (Xin Chào) less than a 10 minute walk and a decent pizza/kebab about 2 minutes walk away. Hosts were very responsive. Overall a very nice stay.

The outside lock to get the key on arrival is quite stiff.

The location, well heated, well equipped but missing a washing machine.

It is a store that was adapted to be an apartment. The bathroom was inside the kitchen, literally. We had the shower inside the kitchen! And for the ones staying in the mezzanine, going to the bathroom during the night was crossing the room below. Very uncomfortable. There was garbage under the bed.
