WF-Apartment Westbahnhof

Spacious and comfortable apartment close to Westbahnhof. Easy to reach and to get around with public transportation. Our host gave us clear instructions for the check-in and many helpful tips for places to eat and to visit in the area. There is a coffee machine and a kettle for your morning coffee or tea. The apartment is equiped with air-co (which was very useful as we stayed during one of the hottest week in Vienna ever...). We didn't use it but there is also a washing machine in the building. Definitely to be recommended !

The host was lovely, and very helpful. Prior to check-in all details were shared, so easy to get access and I really appreciated sharing tips and a brochure on 'what to do in Vienna', very much appreciated it. Good size room.

We had a challenge with the AC on the first night which was unfortunately during the heatwave so was a challenge, but the host and their team rectified this on the second day, thank you.

I liked that the apartment had all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. It included beds, a small kitchen that was sufficient for preparing simple meals, a small table, tv, and a private bathroom with towels. Overall, it had everything essential to spend a few days.

The apartment was not as comfortable as we expected based on the description and photos on Booking.com. The washing machine was located outside the apartment, required an additional fee, and was not easy to use because the instructions were unclear. The kitchen was also quite basic, which made it less convenient for preparing meals.

Good location: three subway lines within walking distance, nice kitchen supplies, and a cosy, almost personal garden with a table. The host responded even on Sunday, which is remarkable.

Facilities, listed in the apartment description, don't match the actual ones. On the first day, the air conditioning didn't work because the host deactivated it remotely. We asked him to turn it on, but received a very strange answer about other guests misusing it, and he thinks +27°C isn't hot enough to use the air con. It's misleading and unacceptable to list a facility in the apartment description if you can't use it without the host's permission. We barely slept on the first night because it was very hot and stuffy. When we mentioned it in our morning conversation with the host, we received an answer, "It was +23°C in the apartment and +15°C at night, so I don't see any problem". Which doesn't make any sense because how +15°C at 3 AM can help us fall asleep in the evening? The iron, ironing board, washing and drying machines are in shared access, which we don't mind, but again misleading in the description. Prepare coins for using the washing and drying machine: 2 EUR per hour. Wi-fi is unusable. There is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness: spiders and their webs are everywhere, and there is visible mold in the shower.
