Close to Mont-Saint-Michel in a picturesque French village

Village was a short distance from Mont-Saint-Michel, offering views of the landmark abbey in the distance. The proprietor helped us book a French restaurant for a nice evening meal. I took a walk around the property with its chickens and gold-fish pond. Walking a bit further brought me to the quaint little town with an historic church. Sweet!

Our room was a detached cabin in the parking lot, but it did meet all our needs.

Though the location was stunningly beautiful, with the beautiful countryside, horses in the neighboring field, chickens in the yard and view of MSM, the Hosts Fred and Aurore are the warmest, kindest persons we met on our travels in France-and meeting them was a highlight of our trip. The cottage was perfect, cute, clean, beds comfy, bathroom impeccably clean. So nice to have 2 toilets-first time on our trip. If you have a chance order the breakfast it was beautiful, with eggs from their chickens, fresh beautiful pastries, meats, cheeses, yogurts-included homemade, a special pastry was made by Aurore-Far Breton that day which was delicious. Fred ensured that our needs were met to the finest detail. This couple truly exudes warmth, hospitality and kindness from their hearts-you can feel the difference. Perfect choice for visiting MSM. Highly recommended. Two thumbs way up!!

Lovely clean and comfortable b&b, with kind, accommodating host (Fred). Perfect location for visiting Mont St Michel. 7am breakfast and head to visitor center by 8am (8 minute drive). Beautiful way to start the day before the hordes of tourists and tour groups descend on this unique and beautiful World Heritage site.

Quaint, lovely stay in Normandy

The host was gracious, kind, and welcoming. There were many unique amenities in the room like Bluetooth-connective speakers, iPads with spotify, local soaps in the shower. Everything was clean, and the room was spacious.

The windows coverings made the room very dark which was nice for sleeping, but they did make the room a little hot while sleeping, and I wasn't able to find air conditioning.

The location is great! Only 7 minutes to Mont Saint Michel. Our host Fred is super friendly and accommodating. He gave us a warm welcome and showed us the property and our room! EV charging is available on sight, which is super convenient! The room has impeccable view and super spacious! It’s also very well-maintained. We absolutely love it! Not to mention the common room and the beautiful garden. I must say Fred has a great sense of taste for decorations and furniture! The breakfast is included, and there were so many options of food to choose from. We were really satisfied. We also love the company of Fred’s dog, Sunday.

We were within a very short drive to Mont St Michel and Fred confirmed all details we needed to know about how the shuttle from parking worked and the tides, etc. We ate fresh eggs from his own chickens.The grounds were beautiful as were the stunning views. It really was much more than we expected. The host was convivial and really helpful.

Excellent!

Very beautiful 2 bedroom cottage, extremely clean, well maintained and looks new. Very nice furniture, very comfortable beds, tastefully decorated. There is full kitchen, a small washer and a large fridge. There is a bonus toilet upstairs in the loft where the kids slept, that was really helps. The hosts are lovely people and make you feel very welcome and comfortable. The dinner place they recommended was nice too. The location also is very pretty, 10 min driving distance from the Mt St Michel parking lot. It was not hard to find using Google maps. Will definitely recommend this home away from home.

I think a sink in the upstairs toilet will be a good idea (it appears to be an add on, so useful but not sure if sink is possible). Not that big a deal. Also, screens on the windows may be useful (since we were opening the windows for cooler air to come in and due to fly breeding season, a couple of the flies kept coming in, not sure about mosquitoes in Summer, we did not have that issue). Lastly, we had trouble with WIFI, it connects but the speed was very slow. We finally ended up using our data plan (we were there for one night so did not bother us)

Memorable Hospitality!

The owners of this lovely property are so gracious, kind, and welcoming! We loved our interactions, fascinating conversation, lovely and comfortable room, delicious breakfast and location. The owner recommended us to a wonderful local restaurant for a memorable meal sourced from local farms. The bonus was Summer, the owner's friendly and loyal dog. We have traveled a lot, this time to Brittany with our 18-year-old daughter, and L'Aurore de la Baie has left a lasting memory. We hope to return soon.

Location was very quiet and secluded. Lot of room for kids to run around and play. The owners are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Typical French breakfast. Fantastic location especially if you want to get away from busy Paris and enjoy the French countryside. Fred the host was very attentive and organised dinner at one of the local restaurants for us when we arrived late on Sunday. The breakfast was exceptional and the view from the room of Mont Saint Michel was fabulous. Can't wait to return.

Host was extremely pleasant and informative. Fred is a retired ER nurse and his wife is a physician. My wife and I are both medical professionals, so we had plenty to talk about. Accommodations were very nice, we were traveling with our two grown boys and had plenty of room. Breakfast was wonderful, we couldn't ask for more. Dinner recommendation was fantastic.
