Damien was friendly pleasant host and would suit air b n b more. If you want a holiday in a house share in a confined space this would suit you.

Castlebaldwin Country Residence is a small semi detached house on a housing estate not really what you’d advertise as a Country Residence. Unfortunately we booked in for 3 nights but moved out after first night to find somewhere more suitable. Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on this.

One of the beds in our twin bedded room was quite uncomfortable. Mattress needs renewed. More choice at breakfast would be helpful. No juices or fruit on offer.

It was clean and adequate. The landlord did his best and was successful in finding us alternative accommodation which met our needs.

A lovely stay in Castlebaldwin

Castlebaldwiin was close enough to Sligo centre, which was great. The house was v well looked after. The ensuite room we stayed in was a lovely temperature, spacious and v clean. Damian was a v welcoming and attentive host. The breakfast was excellent both mornings. Castlebaldwin Country Residence was just really good value for money. Also, the local Mc Dermotts Bar and Restaurant, a few minutes walk away, was a handy option for us for a lovely evening meal too.

Very good for 2 nights stay, maybe a few more facilities for longer stay.

Pretty good. Maybe a bit more variety eg. Cereals, but we did say we wanted a fry and just stuck with that. Scrambled eggs were well cooked (not always easy) but maybe a fried egg one morning. So pretty happy. Good mugs of hot coffee!

Maybe a chair or two in the bedroom . Nowhere to sit except bed. But that was comfortable.

Lovely host, Damian is a really gentle person that really cares to make anything confortable for his guests. The room was nice and the breakfast really good and plenty. The place is peaceful and also parking is simple and next to the structure. Absolutely recommended.

Our stay with Damian was perfect for us

The break fast was perfect for us and just the right amount of food cooked to perfection just how we like it It was only a 10 min drive away from our sons place which was perfect for us it meant we could see our son and his wife everyday of our stay Damian is a very friendly and easy to chat to which was great It was good that Damien was able to join us for breakfast both mornings which was nice of him to take the time to sit and chat with us I would definitely recommend this B&B to all our friends and family will definitely be staying again next time we visit

I discussed with Damian about adding a bin in the bedroom area aswell as the bathroom area Also about the headboard knocking against the wall when I turned over in the bed

This place is very clean, neat and tidy. The beds are very comfy. The location is perfect if your main destination is the Caves of Kesh and around. We did not have to drive for more than 30 min to reach our destinations. Damian looked after everything, very kind. He was concerned to make the most of our stay. If you message him beforehand he will have the hot water ready for you to get a shower. He also took into account our opinion and feedback. We suggested getting some plug extensions in the bedrooms as we carried cameras and such which needed to be charged at the same time as we were on a road trip. Also, we would like to suggest him a glass in the bathroom to keep toothbrushes.

Legend. He's a local historian and is great for a chat. Lovely cosy home, offered us anything we needed after finishing a rainy day hiking along the Beara Breifne Way. Breakfast was lovely, he's very accommodating.
