Tower House, Aldeburgh

We know and love Aldeburgh & the location. Eating area kitchen good. Bedding lovely but this week was just so hot we had to dispense with the inside duvets. Showers excellent. Lounge comfortable and a good size.

Parking in August outside the property can’t be guaranteed & then to go out in the car would be risking losing the spot. Bathroom ensuite basin far too low and small and wall hung mirror needed. Luckily we brought x3 fans because without we couldn’t have stayed, it was just too hot. Outside areas covered in gull mess, which I understand is a continual problem. But doesn’t look good or welcoming. We brought camping chairs because the outside seats not clean. Have reported a problem with dishwasher. Glad I took my earplugs those seagulls squawk continually it seems, night and day.

Great location. Beautiful spacious home. Very relaxing and great for walks and beach fun.

Toaster was inefficient. Kitchen lights worked intermittently. Lounge gas stove did not work. Boiler stopped working and needed re-pressuring. Which required an engineer late at night as the water supply was in the basement. Heating system was a tad complicated.

Excellent location, very warm considering it was the end of January. Very cosy for a large property.
