The exclusive and beautiful country house Casa Magnolia is located in the small hamlet of San Martino, overlooking the “golden triangle” of Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio. Casa Magnolia is very spacious, has a large, open living and dining area over two levels, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is ideal for up to 5 people. It is a historic Lombard country house that has been extensively restored with great attention to detail and many eco-friendly features, such as solar panels, eco-friendly materials, energy insulation, energy-efficient appliances etc. Natural stone, wooden floors and modern, stylish furnishings with lots of art objects create an atmosphere that is exclusive and cozy at the same time. The house is surrounded by a beautiful, park-like and completely fenced garden on multiple levels with several, separate areas for a lot of privacy. The large, private pool offers complete relaxation with incredible views. A big, covered patio with kitchen, grill and pizza oven is ideal for outdoor cooking and outdoor dining. Lake Como, the property and our hosts made our 8 night stay paradise. The views…not just of the lake and mountains, but the expansive gardens, terraces and pool are breathtaking. This property was a labor of love by the hosts and we felt so fortunate that they shared it with us. We have stayed 3 months in Italy on this trip…and nothing compared to this stay. Look forward to spending time in the future at this magnificent property.

Our stay here exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is beautiful, immaculate, and extremely comfortable. It's located in a small hillside village with character and history - we loved it. And I have to say, Marcus truly sets the bar for all hosts. His communication was timely, helpful and spot on. He even made reservations for us at a local restaurant our first night there at Locanda San Martino, which I highly recommend when you stay here. It's a 1 minute walk and it was one of the best meals we had in our 2 week tour of Italy. All in all, staying here was the best VRBO experience we've had. We (all 4 of us) can't wait to come back and spend more time.

Unfortunately, we only booked a 2 night stay at this property! The harrowing drive from the main road was well worth staying at this impeccably beautiful home with breathtaking views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountain range. The grounds included private sitting areas and a gorgeous pool that was off the chart! A short walk from the property, we dined at the local restaurant two nights in a row…the owners were so kind and the food and wine selections were amazing!!! Marcus, the owner of the property was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back and highly recommend anyone who is looking for a 5 star resort with all the amenities you need and an awesome view of lake Como!!!

Marcus is an outstanding host and the villa is beautiful and stylish. Outside areas are unbelievable. The drive up from the lake is very exciting and takes some getting used to. Parking was quite challenging for our van. Best to bring smaller bags as you travel a cobblestone path to the house. Marcus provided a wagon to help with the bag transit.

From the moment my wife and I booked, Marcus was amazing. He sent information on wineries, restaurants, sightseeing and other events. We arrived to a warm welcome, a clean well taken care of property. The amenities are well appointed, the view is breathing taking. Marcus checked in with us multiple times. He would tell us what the weather was for the next day and if we plans, he would give us great tips on what to do. He connected us with a personal chef who came to the Villa and cooked dinner for us. Massimo arranged a 10 course tasting menu Michelan rated quality. On our last day, we got a flat tire and Marcus was out of town. Simona came to the Villa, arranged for a Service company to come get the tire and replace it during a heavy rain. She stayed with us for over 3 hours making sure everything was OK. So the long and short of it,,, An Amazing Trip, A Great Place to Stay and most importantly Marcus and Simona we now call family. Best choice ever.

Can't say enough about this lovely home, gracious and helpful hosts and incredible experience. The home has all the modern amenities but an old world feel. It was very comfortable for two couples. The views are breathtaking. Our hosts were accessible, helpful, responsive and warm. The nearby trattoria coludn't do enough to accommodate us. Loved every minute and can't wait to return!

This was our first visit to Lake Como and we weren't disappointed. The views from the property were absolutely stunning and there are many options across the property of beautiful places to sit to to enjoy the view. The gardens are beautiful with several levels but do be aware that this means there are many stone steps between the house and the pool area. We were a group of 5, including a set of grandparents and an able 3 year old. The stairs weren't a problem for us but might be for others with young children or less able party members. The pool is lovely as is the alfresco kitchen area with pizza oven and bbq. Overall we had a wonderful family holiday and would thoroughly recommend the property.

The home and grounds are beautiful and the hosts are great. Be prepared for some stressful mountain driving, as roads are narrow and difficult to navigate, but you do get used to it over time. The price to pay for the beautiful vistas is the fact that driving anywhere is a must. We would definitely stay again.

Casa Magnolia overlooks a most beautiful part of Lake Como. The house is nestled in a terraced garden with blooming plants and several Zen-like places to rest and enjoy the view of the lake. This is topped by a great swimming pool, inviting the visitor to cool off during the heat of the beautiful summer days. The inside of Casa Magnolia has been designed with great attention to detail, from the kitchen to a chill space upstairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Topping this is an outside kitchen with a pizza oven and a beautiful Italian mural. I would recommend Casa Magnolia for an experience in paradise!

The property was absolutely wonderful in every way. It was well stocked with all the basics and more. Everything was spotless including the kitchen and bathrooms. All the rooms look at the lake. The decor was just incredible, full of art and personal touches, it made us feel like we were guests at somebody's home instead of being in a rental. The property includes very lovely and private grounds, where you can relax and maybe have a drink while looking at the lake. It also includes a big, outside patio with a pizza oven and a BBQ. The owners live on the property, but their areas are separate making the rental very private. They were accessible, helpful with recommendations and advice, and very, very gracious. The location is up in the mountains. overlooking the prettiest part of lake Como. From your windows you see the lake, the Italian Alps in the distance, and the ferries going back and forth from town to town. The trip was wonderful and memorable for us.

The house is on the site of a larger property with a shared pool and gardens on multiple levels - the house is very comfortable and well equipped with great sitting and eating areas, and the pool and gardens are superb. But over and above all this, the views of the lake are stunning. We saw the owners (who were in the larger house) from time to time and they were a pleasure to deal with, and we had the pool almost to ourselves. Overall a fantastic place to stay.

Wir waren als Familie mit zwei Kindern und einem Hund da. Das Objekt ist in einem kleinen Dorf oberhalb von San Siro. Man benötigt ein Fahrzeug, um zum Objekt zu kommen. Das Ferienhaus liegt auf einem Hügel und hat einen sensationellen Blick auf den Comer See. Die Eigentümer, Marcus und Simona haben unendlich viel Liebe und Arbeit in Haus und auch Garten gesteckt. Es sieht alles exakt aus, wie auf den Fotos. Man entschleunigt sofort. Die beiden sind super nett und wohnen direkt über dem Ferienobjekt und sind immer erreichbar und mega hilfsbereit. Unsere Kinder (10 und 12) und unser Hund waren wirklich Willkommen. Das Haus ist wunderschön geschnitten und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es ist wirklich alles das, was man braucht und noch viel mehr. Der Garten ist wunderschön und es gibt auf mehreren Ebenen Sitz-, und Liegemöglichkeiten. Das Haus und der Garten sind super sauber und es gibt tolle Handtücher und Bettwäsche. Den Pool der Familie darf man nutzen und auch den Sitzbereich in der Pool Area. Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub bei tollen und netten Menschen,in einem wundervollen Land an einem traumhaft schönen See. Einer der schönsten Flecke Erde, den wir nach all unseren Reisen entdecken durften. Wir danken euch, Simona und Marcus und würden uns freuen, euch wiederzusehen.

Wir haben uns in dem Anwesen über den Silvester Urlaub pudelwohl gefühlt und waren von Einrichtungen und Ausstattung positiv überrascht. Trotz winterlich tiefstehender Sonne und wegen des sehr guten Wetters konnten wir den Garten und die Liege- und Sitzflächen genießen und auch Mittagsmahlzeiten draußen einnehmen. Die Outdoor Küche hat uns Pizza- und Grill Events beschert. An Ausstattung ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ansprechend ausgestattet und waren für unseren Urlaub weihnachtlich dekoriert. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter verlief unkompliziert, z. B. über WhatsApp und war stets nett und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder ;-) Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub!

Wir haben 10 traumhafte Tage in dem sehr großzügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Ferienhaus von Marcus und Simona verbracht. Der wunderschöne Blick auf den Comer See und die Berge und vor allem die Ruhe waren einfach nur zum Seele baumeln lassen. Auch der herrliche Garten mit Pool, verschiedenen Terrassen und Sitzplätzen war ein Refugium. We had a great vacation at the property and words can not describe the view over the Como lake. Marcus and Simone were very helpful, friendly and great hosts during our stay. The accessibility to the house is a bit difficult and you need to be in a good shape because of the walking distance from the parking area with fx heavy shopping bags.

Wir verbrachten eine herrliche Woche in diesem wunderschönen und äußerst gepflegten Haus. Die Einrichtung ist überaus geschmackvoll, sehr hochwertig und mit vielen Gegenständen, die sich auf die Vergangenheit des Hauses beziehen. Besonders genossen haben wir den Kamin im Wohnzimmer und den Steinofen für Pizza vor dem Haus auf der überdachten Terrasse. Der Blick auf den See ist ein Traum und es herrscht eine unglaubliche Ruhe. Der Zugang zum Haus ist über einen kleinen Fußweg, man stellt seinen Wagen in unmittelbarer Nähe auf einem Parkplatz im Dorf San Martino ab. Simona und Markus Starke sind überaus freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber, die jeder Zeit ansprechbar sind. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen wiederzukommen.

Fantastisch, herrliche Sicht auf den See, ( Pizzaofen, Grill, Herd) sehr schönes Haus mit Aussenküche , alles liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichtet, Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeit auf verschiedenen Terrassen. Traumhafter Pool. Ruhig, sehr sehr nette Vermieter, sind jederzeit erreichbar. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub, der unsere Erwartungen weit übertraf.
