About this house rental
The house is located in the quiet town of Montgomery Creek close to the Burney Falls, Pit river, Hat creek, Lassen Volcanic National park, and many more beautiful areas for you to enjoy. The house is fully furnished and has a deck for entertainment. There are 2 more homes on the property, one of those we live ourselves so we are always available when something is needed. There are apple orchards, a vineyard, wooded areas, a pond, meadows and hiking trails on our 200-acre ranch. We bought the property in 2018 and are working on restoring buildings, the apple orchards and vineyard. The Terrace house has 2 queen beds, 3 twin beds and a full-size bed. Fully equipped kitchen, living room with wood burning stove and propane wall heater. 2 bathrooms, dining room, washer and dryer. There is a beautiful deck where you can enjoy the view and barbeque. We have a game room / gym in a separate building that you can use. There are 2 1 mile long hiking trails on the property, the Loop trail and the Shasta View trail.
The house is perfect for short or longer stays in case you are working in the area. We have a 220 volt, 50 amp charging station available for $15 per charge.

The Terrace House was a perfect place to stay for our visit to Lassen National Park.The beds were very comfortable.We all liked the soft linens and towels.There are beautiful views from the house and a pleasant and easy walking path through the orchard. It was a nice treat to see deer each day we were there. Having the propane grill on the deck was appreciated. AC unit worked well.

Pros - Location and the swimming pool. Without the pool, the kids would have not liked it, and will make our trip miserable. The owner were kind to let us use their swimming pool.
Cons - The house must need pest control. The kids saw spiders everywhere. The bathroom have no lock, so everybody going there, need to keep making sound so as to let everyone know. There was no house keys or locking management, so we left the house while visiting Burney falls and let the owner know to keep an eye on our stuff. We were fine with the swamp cooler, but there was no fan in the bunk-bed room. The owner provided the portable fan which worked and circulate the cool air during night. Not enough utensil in the kitchen. So, I believe this house is good for small family 3-4. It can definitely sleep more, but utensil, bathroom access will make a challenge.
