Booking cancelled after check-in time – unresolved and stressful experience

I had a confirmed booking for this property, but it was cancelled by the accommodation more than three hours after the stated check-in time, while I was already waiting to check in. This left me without accommodation and required urgent intervention from Booking.com to find an alternative late in the day, causing significant disruption and additional costs. Since then, I have found the accommodation have now become unresponsive to the consequences of the cancellation, and the process of recovering the alternative accomodation costs incurred has been ongoing for several months with Booking.com. Unfortunately, support from Booking.com has also been extremely limited, which has made resolving the situation unnecessarily stressful. While I understand that unexpected issues can arise, cancelling a booking after check-in time and then failing to support the guest in resolving the aftermath is not acceptable. On this occasion, I cannot recommend this stay, nor using Booking.com, based on how this situation has been handled. I am sharing this experience to inform other travellers and in the hope that the outstanding issues are resolved.

Nice place, good location shame about some drunken individual who had no respect or understanding for others

It was well decorated and clean and tidy

Although it was a good location on town as a result there was an fight that occurred in the early hours one morning which impacted our stay and we came home early

Would definitely stay again and recommend the flat

It was well presented and the dining table being laid out was a nice touch. Good location in the centre and reasonable parking costs was within 5 minutes walk for 24 hour parking. Previous reviews complained about noise from the bars but we heard none until the fri and sat night and it was actually great to see and hear many well behaved young people having a good time. Would definitely stay again. Thanks

Great location, comfortable (but tough to find)

Lovely property once you find it :) Look for a little blue door in the small alley across Chester’s, it is jammed so difficult to find but you’ll get there. The google maps location shows elsewhere so took us a while to find and owner is not responsive on calls at all. Luckily a neighbour in the building helped us. It can get slightly noisy as there’s a club on the same street but overall we loved it. It was clean and quite comfortable.

We knew that others have had similar experience of not finding it easily, so we were prepared. But it would be good for the owners to put up a little sign at least so people aren’t lost for long.

Very noisy at night till 3-4am from pubs and bars on the street

Property was like pictures and as described

It was very very noisy at night! And it was a week day. From 11pm till 3am there were party goers (students)outside making so much noise and when walking back home they sang and even had fights ! All in one night. We all hardly slept and had to get up early to attend our commitments! So bed in lounge is broken!!!!! So slept on cushions

You cannot sleep in this property due to party noise from streets bars from 10pm till 3am

Decor really good, living room and front lovely,

NO SLEEP!!!! It should not be on the rental market as a property you sleep in. Noise from music and screaming drunk teenagers in street, pubs and bars and live music unbearable in front room and living room - consistent for three nights from 9pm till 3-4am Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Strong smell of marijuana from property below throughout stay, drains in bathroom smell. You can't cook here - one tiny milk pan, one huge pan, 1 baking tray. Grill pan dirty, 3 drinking glasses.

Dirty Apartment-would not recommend

Good location- city centre Nice decor in lounge and main bedroom

Difficult to find, no sign on gate. The entrance and hallway leading to the property were dirty and smell. There was someone else’s old clothes on the floor of the small bedroom and rubbish under the bed, it had clearly not been cleaned properly. Every smelt musty and the cups were so dirty they were stuck to the cupboard. We we here for 40th birthday celebrations for my friends, it completely ruined it as we could relax, we could wait to get out of there. Also bring ear plugs as the noise is very loud from the street until 3am.

Beautifully decorated inside, however The entrance to the place was dirty, cigarette ends of the floor and rubbish plus overflowing bins. Stairs up to the property were dirty

Sheets and duvet were soiled, there was sick up the door in one of the bedrooms and on the carpet. Cutlery and plates were dirty

It could have been much better

Location was good. Spacious apartment.

1.Only one radiator worked, through the whole flat. 2.Entrance gate had nails sticking out and back yard and stairwell was filthy. 3. Mould throughout the shower. 4.No tea towel or dish cloth provided. 5. Dirty water glass on bedside table on arrival, and dirty mugs in the cupboard. Finally the security forms to gain the entrance code were intrusive, lengthy, and unwelcoming. I should not have to provide a photo of personal ID to a company I do not know when I have already paid for the stay.

Great Base for me to visit family will stay again.

We loved alour stay at the property, myself and one of my girls. The location is perfect for town/getting round worcester and walkable from the stations. Loved the old beams and character of the flat in Worcesters historic New Street. We got good value and in fact on this occasion it was cheaper for us than the Travelodge we normally stay in. It's super close to a big Asda as well you can walk to. Easy check in and the hosts are really good communicators

No complaints, but might be worth knowing it is near one of Worcesters smaller night clubs Sin, and we could hear the music at night time

Excellent base for visiting Worcester.

Blueberry View is very well situated, being within walking distance of Worcester's cathedral and city centre with plenty of places to eat and drink within a few hundred yards. The apartment was very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The communications with the hosts were straightforward.

Some may not like the access and stairs to Blueberry View, but persevere, it will be worth it. Some may not like the lack of parking on site, but I found free parking only a minute away.

Adequate for our one night stay.

The flat was clean, tidy and comfortable although the building and stairwell to the flat is unkept. Perfect location for the city centre and although it is on a very busy street there wasn’t too much noise at night.

The backyard where the key box is has lighting but it has no brightness so useless. There are 4 steps from the alleyway, which is also dark, to the backyard so this is a safety issue that should be looked at. There was no internet connection.

Cute apartment let down by external factors (noise and mess)

Nicely furnished and equipped; good central location

We stayed for Friday and Saturday nights so the noise from the pubs in the street was pretty bad up to 2am; the outside courtyard entrance is not a great reflection on the apartment, needs some major tlc and better lighting at night as down a dark alley.

We had a great stay in Worcester. The location was excellent.

The location. Modern fixture and fittings. Big bath. Key safe worked well. Bigger lounge than expected. Good instructions to find apartment. Cheap parking which was recommended in St Martins Gate car park, very nearby linked by a bridge.

The entrance, Bird poo all over front door. Dog hair, dirty carpet and smelly communal entrance. Noise from the front bedroom. Squeaky floor boards. Mattress on bed too soft.

Nice apartment, well appointed, very central, on a lively street!

The apartment really nicely decorated, cosy and was very clean, very central to all shops and restaurants not difficult to get to. We ate at the pub down the street which was really good.

It was noisy at night, Saturday night on busy street, windows at the front not double glazed so you can hear quite a lot, but then it is right in the middle of town, so I suppose you have to expect it especially Friday/Sat. The entrance and staircase to the property could be nicer/cleaner but this is a shared space so maybe difficult.

The property said it slept 4, with 2 double beds but one bed was very small. luckily , one of our party couldn’t make it, or it would have been very tight. ok for a couple though. very central location, but meant it was a bit noisy late at night.
