Lovely cosy house in a very good location.

A nice cosy house close to town centre. Nice size bedrooms and a really inviting living room to relax, just a shame it wasn't quite cold enough to put the log burner on. Close to many walks and only 20-25mins to Alnwick/Bamburgh/Scottish Border.

No drier so laundry was a slow process.

Great value impromptu road trip stay in cosy peaceful cottage located in friendly village

Fabulous location within the village. Very quiet at night. Very peaceful, sleep promoting. Unfortunately much of the village businesses were closed or on very reduced hours when we were there, but those that we used were all good, including the The Anchor, No1, Milan, Co-op, butcher, to name a few. Cost of accomodation was excellent. Being away from the coast a bit the cost of the local shops and businesses were much cheaper than coastal Northumberland which was nice. Great little stove in the cosy sitting room very controllable. Most things thought of from the owners, heating easy to work, fans in cupboards, towels provided etc Lovely little welcome park too. My girls said when travelling that they were going to miss our christmas tree from home but loved it then then got to the cottage and saw the little Christmas Tree. Details make a difference

No real negatives to note really relative to price point and known location Nothing to put anyone off for sure. If rolling hills and countryside in a quiet location is your thing and you are not bothered about being 30 mins or thereabouts away from larger towns like Alnwick or the coast, then Cheviot Way Cottage should be on your shortlist. TV is a good size, but a Smart TV would be good for the cosy nights in, allowing guests to log in to their own Netflix, prime or other accounts. Kitchen was basically adequate, we produced a full breakfast every day except check out day and some evening meals with multiple elements but the kitchen would benefit from a set of knife's, chefs scissors, pyrex microwave bowls, odd other bits. 10 AM check out is tight with 4 humans and dog.

Perfect stay in an excellent location

Lovely cottage in an excellent location for exploring Northumberland, particularly the Cheviots and the beautiful coast. Immaculate when we arrived, parking was easy and had everything you would need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. We walked up in to the Cheviots from the nearby St Cuthberts Way (which runs through the town), beautiful walk. Would also recommend the boat trips from Seahouses to see the bird life/seals on the nearby islands - we were very lucky and had dolphins leaping out of the waves around the boat, magic. The town has good facilities - loved the holiday, the cottage and the location. Thanks to the hosts.

The bathroom sink was cracked in two places which was not very nice when washing hands and teeth. The side panel of the bath was also cracked, not what I would have expected for the price

The cottage was comfortable. Parking was easy with shops nearby. The 'welcoming package' was a nice touch!It was also close to St Cuthert's Way - which my wifeand her sister were walking. (Mission accomplished!)

It would have helped if the grass area in the garden coud have had a gate so our dog could have had a period there not on the lead - probably a big project!

Lovely cottage very close to the heart of Wooler with good amenities close to hand within a short walking distance. Easy street parking. Lovely welcome gift provided. The fireplace was wonderful. Wooler proved a great location within 20-30min drive of our sight seeing destinations and the cottage was a nice base for our explorations.

Some cooking basics would have been nice like oil and salt as well as some tea and coffee sachets. However some butter and milk was provided and the co-op was only a short walk away.

Perfect place to stay, everything within easy reach and a very comfy place to return to.

The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do while staying in Northumberland. The bed was very comfortable, the cottage was on a very quiet road and easy walk into the village for shopping or to eat out, we did both. The neighbours were lovely, very friendly, also the shop keepers made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend the local butchers and the sweet / chocolate shop. If you get a chance you must have a stop at the Milk Bar just down the road, absolutely delicious ice creams. We also stopped there for breakfast when we left to drive up to Scotland. The garden at the cottage is a lovely quiet place to sit. We would certainly stay here again if we visit Northumberland again in the future.

Great location with hills beaches and the weather was good. Facilities were more than adequate. The welcome pack had all the information required but the other welcome pack, wine bread and cheese was very much appreciated thank you.

Cosy cottage in a lovely location, perfect for exploring the area.

The property was cosy, clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring Northumberland and Wooler is a very pretty village with good amenities, such as a Co op just down the road. There was a nice welcome pack with bread, wine, butter and milk.

The private parking at the back of the property was fine for my small hatchback but may not be suitable for a bigger car. The church bells chime all night and woke me up when the window on air vent but with the window fully closed it wasn’t a problem!

Lovely location - a homely cottage

The cottage is lovely and feels homely. The welcome wine and cheese was appreciated. The area is so beautiful and we needed more time to explore everything. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The street parking was fine. We would definitely stay here again.

The street lights are so bright. An extra curtain would be good. Not enough wood or firefighters provided for our 4 night stay. Don’t really expect to have to buy our own.

It was a nice place for a week away in a nice quiet location which is what I was after.

It was in a good location and it was quiet. I liked the cheese, bread, wine and milk that was supplied, that was nice.

The street light shone in to the front bedroom, so we had to sleep in the back room. The bathroom was a bit dated. It was difficult to lock the front door from the inside.
