Magpie Cottage

Location in Wooler was very central. Heating worked well and cooker worked very well and very quickly. Very spacious with most mod cons.accomodation was very comfortable.

Outside light at rear of property not working.light at bottom of stair not working. Toilet seat very low for adults. If you had mobility issues this property would be inaccessible .

1 wk stay in late August 2026. Good weather was a bonus. Very convenient for Wooler Town Centre. Close to all local amenities and a great base for walking or cycling. Free car parking just a few metres away from front door, but car park only holds about 8 or 10 vehicles, and it fills up very quickly, especially at weekends. If you get a spot in there, don't move your vehicle until you are leaving...!! Cottage very comfortable for us (couple) but can sleep up to 4 people. Very comfy bed in double bedroom, and we only used twin to store our bags etc. Well equipped kitchen, with large fridge/freezer, as well as washing machine and dryer. I've seen a comment in another review about slowish Wi-Fi, but we found it to be absolutely fine, and were using numerous Wi-Fi dependant bits of tech. Handy local well stocked Co-oP at bottom of street open late, and enough Pubs & Take-Aways to keep everyone happy. No1 Hotel serves great food. All round very cozy cottage and a great place to stay for your trip to Wooler.. Would definitely recommend.. 👍

There was nothing we did not like in Magpie Cottage.. ✅✅✅✅✅

Perfectly situated for exploring Northumberland. Wooler is a lovely small town with excellent local amenities. The cottage was clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The car park is very close and we parked there every evening (between 4-6pm) with no problem. We stayed for a week in July and would happily return.

Inside the cottage,was very nice, everything you could need

No outside space at all-so therefore not pet friendly. Even being out all day you need a bit of outside space.
