Perfect location for visiting north Northumberland.

The shower, which was a shower above the bath had only one temperature, which was hot!

A charming well-equipped cottage in a perfect location for exploring the sights of Northumberland. A very useful and well-stocked Coop at the end of the road opens early and shuts late.

Great cottage, very close to the shops and pubs but still quiet, excellent for walkers.

Really nice property, lovely bedroom, comfy and spacious with a second bedroom for extra space. Bathroom and Living room were great, a nice cottage feel. Superb location, literally 100yards from the main street in the town, shops and pubs within 2 minutes walk. It was possible to walk from the door straight into the countryside, superb access to Northumberland National Park, which was just up the road.

Magpie cottage is a beautiful cosy home from home, a perfect place to relax and recharge. The Farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, far beyond the basics you'd expect in a holiday let. The lounge is cosy and comfortable with a beautiful log burner fireplace. The whole place was spotless and the various ornaments and pictures added to the homely decor. There was a great selection of Dvds books and games to use during our stay and everything you could imagine needing during your holiday including an iron and ironing board, clothes airer, vacuum cleaner, high chair and much more. The hosts were accommodating and messaged us to check on us during our stay. The cottage is set in a lovely location and a good base for exploring beautiful Northumberland. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommend

ideal location on the A697 and in Wooler made access to all our day trips simple. spacious interior and nicely decorated.

keybox was down alleyway by back door, path/steps were wet underfoot and a little tricky to navigate.

The house is very comfortable ideal for 3/4 adults or a family. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The welcome folder was comprehensive and well prepared

Shower tap stuck on hot but a call to our host produced an explanation that allowed me to get it working properly

That the cottage doesn't have a dishwasher. The oven was really dirty and there are too many ornaments standing around.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Close to all shops, takeaways, pubs, information. Lots of great walks straight from the door. Well equipped and really homely... more spacious than I thought. Great to have a bath too. Parking only a short walk away.

No extractor fan in the bathroom and too cold to keep opening window. No timer for central heating so just had to leave on during day or come back to a cold house. Would have liked a dishwasher... didn't need a washing machine or dryer but only a minor issue. Some rooms only dimly lit.. but would certainly return.
