Central location. Handy to all local amenities. Lovely snug room. Very warm to return to when the weather outside is cold.
It was very cramped. If 2 of you were in a room at one time there was little passing space and we are not big people! There seemed to be too much furniture in bedrooms, sofas that didn’t really have any purpose but took up a lot of the room.
We were given the wrong code to gain entry to the property and wrong WiFi passcode. The owners responded very promptly and sorted all this out for us.
We had difficulty finding any trays clean enough to heat food on but was not an issue as we ate out after seeing the state of the one’s provided.

We liked the Snug room up on the first floor

Location was perfect for local shops, cafe, restaurants. The property iteself was warm and inviting cleam and tidy and suited our big family. We had enough space and it helped having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had all little details such as tea and cofee, foil, cooking oil, condiments etc which were a nice touch and so helpful when preparing meals. As and added touch there were cookies for us on arrival to have with our tea.
I coudn't find anything wrong with the property. There is nothing I would improve as all our needs were met and the hosts couldn't be more accomodating. Theres nothing I would have changed whilst we were there.

The location was perfect for our needs as it was central to everything we wanted to see. The cottage is most definitely quirky - but that just added to our Northumberland experience. The whole place was clean, well-kept and had everything you might possibly need and made our stay exceedingly enjoyable. The fact it was also dog-friendly (we have 2 border collies) was also a big plus. The hosts could not be more helpful! We'd recommend the cottage for anyone looking for a dog-friendly place to explore Northumberland.
We didn't find anything we didn't like about the cottage. There were no downsides to our visit.

Excellent location for exploring coastal and nearby Northumbria; Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Cragside, the national park all relatively short drives away. Beautiful cottage in a lovely town with lots of amenities. Highly recommend

Very comfortable and clean and felt homely
We didn’t mind but others possibly would as it’s over 3 floors.

Very cosy , clean accommodation over 3 floors. Bedrooms are on 2 floors & quite bijou but it is an old property, beds are very comfortable. Lovely sitting rooms and we were lucky to have some sunshine which was lovely to see chilling over morning coffee. The day we arrived was just before storm Éowyn struck and the following day was a power outage! However power outage was short lived & the rest of the stay was less eventful with Saturday being a stunning crisp sunny day which we spent on Lindisfarne. Would certainly recommend a stay here

central location was ideal for access to walks, shop and pubs. Beds were comfy and the house was warm.
The bedrooms were quite cramped and shower room on ground floor beyond the kitchen was not ideal for 2 couples sharing

Location was good for travelling to other places and great location for walking
Plenty of space in the house for the four of us
More outside space for sitting outside in the evening would have been nice

fantastic location, great facilities, good value. very cosy and perfect as a base to explore the area.
very little. if I was ultra picky the back yard needed a bit of a weed/tidy and the utensil draw in the kitchen is a bit bare.

Fantastic location. Lovely and clean, a real home from home. Lovely fluffy carpets, snuggly blankets provided. Lots of extras for the kids like games and books. Just fantastic. Hosts could not have been more helpful prior to our arrival and went out of their way to help us with what we would need and tell us all the information we required prior to our visit.
The area is beautiful, so much to explore and do. We could have happily stayed for a week.
Everything was done to a lovely standard, lovely decor well equipped kitchen.

Our boys loved the 3 floors (they had the top floor to themselves). We really loved the location, fantastic walks from the front door. Wooler common is stunning, our dog had the time of her life! We also liked the playing fields at the back of the house, for a quick run around (boys and dog). Locals were friendly and helpful in the cafe/pub and the co-op was well stocked. we also loved the milk bar, best ice cream ever!
The back door was hard to get out of which made taking the dog out for a quick toilet break difficult. we did manage to get it open with some tips from very helpful owners.

excellent location for walking St Cuthberts Way which literally passes the door. Easy walking distance to pubs, hotels and restaurants. Snug sitting room on first floor. Fully equipped kitchen allowing to make meals if required.
First floor bedroom had to either go upstairs or downstairs and through kitchen to access a WC during night. Could do with extra bannister as very narrow treads on stair.

Good location in Wooler - pretty place with cafes, pubs and shops
Couldn’t open the windows in the bathroom and the back door was very difficult to open.
The property is very quaint but space is very tight: bedrooms are compact and the downstairs lounge wasn’t big enough to be a sitting room and dining room.

The location to get to everything was amazing and was lovely for a nice quiet place to end the day
