Hill Garth Cottage - 2 Bed with Wood Burning Hot Tub

This was such a lovely little cottage — exactly what we were hoping for. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the rooms were spotless throughout. It really felt clean, comfortable, and well cared for.

The one concern I had was with the windows — they’re quite old, and while it was fine (even lovely) staying there in summer, I imagine the property would get pretty cold in winter without some upgrades to the window insulation.

It was very well located, was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Also dog friendly.

The shower unit was very small and we prefer an upstairs bathroom but that is just our preference rather than a criticism.

This little house was a haven of warmth after a cold, wet day of hiking. Super comfortable and convenient for the town. We had some concerns beforehand about using a digital lock but it was absolutely fine - just make sure you download the app and have Bluetooth switched on.

The shower was extremely small and connected to the kitchen. No bathroom upstairs The towels provided were really small so I would recommend bringing your own The bedside table draws had wrappers and sweets in them There was a strong dog odour in the passageway and living room No batteries for the 2x single bedroom TV Seats on decking were very uncomfortable Hot tub was very confusing- took about 45 minutes to fill. Had to purchase matches from the local shop however only got it lit at around 10:30 and can’t be used after 11 so we unfortunately didn’t get chance to use this.
