It’s just off what is I think the prettiest street in Takayama. Absolutely beautiful and very close to the Edo period area. A lovely house with everything we needed and best of all the hosts were wonderful.

The house is a lovely traditional Japanese house. I would say it is a must when visiting Japan and this is a wonderful place to experience that. Very cozy and charming. It was my first experience sleeping on a futon mattress and for me - they felt very,very comfortable, I had a great nights sleep. Beautiful location, quiet and not very far from the main areas. When we arrived we wished we had more time there.

We stayed there in the middle of November so it was quite cold. The house has a heating - but only for the living room and for the rooms you sleep in. Once you heat up the rooms, they are nice and warm but the other areas are still very cold so it is kind of a nightmare to go to the bathroom. But I guess it is a common thing for the traditional Japanese homes and you have to deal with it if you want to stay in such in a colder season. As we arrived when it was already dark, it wasn't very easy to find, you have to go somewhat around the house (from the location that google maps leads you to). The host provides you with directions but it is not that easy to navigate in the dark.

Que solo disponía de un aseo y era bastante viejo, para 6 adultos se queda justo. En el salón y cocina tenia moqueta, muy poco higiénico.
