Great location, could be fantastic, but needs some work to improve safety and comfort.

The location is superb for the last night of a driving holiday, then a meander along the Seine in the morning, tea in Dieppe and home on the evening Ferry. The room has character and everything required is there, including a very welcome walk in shower and a massive fridge freezer that cooled our cidre down double quick in time for sundowners. HyperMarche and petrol are just a few miles down the road. It is quick access from the Autoroute, but fully out in the country. The Seine view-point just down the road is really good. There is lots of wood on display to give an old-world feel, even though it is actually fairly modern.

The beds are up some stairs on a balcony with a trap door that can be closed but when open is unguarded and presents unacceptable risk of a very serious fall. This risk should be addressed immediately with a properly designed safety barrier, and possible removal of the door, which does not appear to be of sufficient strength to be used as a floor, although we obviously did not test it! Also the upper level is a heat trap with no means to let the hot air out. We only discovered it was far too hot to sleep up there late on and had to stay up downstairs with all the windows open till about 2am to cool it down as there was almost no breeze! Needs a fan or skylight to resolve this problem, or maybe leaving the windows open all day in hot weather. Towels were not very nice. Our low overall score in relation to the ratings as a whole is a reflection of the trapdoor safety hazard. For the heat problem we have marked 'comfort' at the lowest rating.

Never again

There are nice hosts, but they speak French only. However, there was no language barrier with their friendly dog. In several kilometres, one can find a superior point of view of the Sena river.

The room was wet. The bed was wet. This room has windows only on one side, and no ventilation on any other side. The bed was too short (~30 cm shorter than required). This property is located in the middle of nowhere and therefore it is nothing to do around. Everything is located in 10+km driving. The toilet room does not have a door (and no ventilation)!

not a nice experience- would not recommend

was a good location for our trip

very basic accommodation- dangerous sleeping facilities ( had to close a trap door so you didn’t fall down stairs . very basic amenities . light fixtures hardly working . we were travelling with our dogs and are extremely conscious of picking up dog mess . the green area outside our gite was completely full of dog mess - at least a couple of months worth . it was everywhere . not nice / not hygienic - especially if you had children . it doesn’t cost anything to clean up dog mess . we paid a surplus of 10 euros for each dog and was asked to make sure we picked up our own dog mess ( which we obviously do ) yet it was everywhere around us .

De locatie en de super lieve uitbaters die altijd blij waren om je te zien, ook al was het met een lastige vraag. Ze waren super behulpzaam!

De gite was kleiner dan verwacht. Alles in 1 vrij kleine ruimte. Het bed was te klein. (We zijn grote mensen, allebei 1m82) het bed was 1m80, dus we lagen altijd met onze voeten buiten. En het was ook vrij smal met een hele zachte matras waardoor we ofwel op de rand van het bed moesten liggen of tegen elkaar in een put van de matras.

Geweldig genoten!

Wij hadden het chalet gehuurd, uitrusting was compleet en gezellig ingericht. We hadden veel privacy en konden heerlijk, zowel in de zon als in de schaduw zitten, onder de boom. Zwembad was heerlijk, ook mochten we onbeperkt kersen plukken. We hadden uitzicht over de weide met de ezels en een pasgeboren jong. De gastheer- en vrouw waren erg gastvrij. De wandeling met uitzicht op de Seine was mooi, verder in de directe omgeving niet veel te doen, prima als je houdt van rust. Wij hebben mooie uitstapjes gemaakt naar Etretat en Rouen.

Goed matras maar wel hard, voor een lange Hollander te kort en ook te smal.

Accueil très agréable ! Le domaine est superbe 🤩 , le chalet que nous avions loué était impeccable. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Un peu truc qui pourrait être super pour arriver à 10/10: du gel douche, shampooing et un sèche cheveux.

Un gîte pour des jeunes venant sans voiture et pour une nuit

L’emplacement, le calme, la taille, le prix

Le fait que la chambre soit en mezzanine avec un lit très proche de l’escalier ( d’où risque de chute. L’accès à un côté du lit impossible sans enjamber le lit. La mise à disposition d’une seule serviette par personne pour 4 jours!Un accès au domaine avec un portail fermé à ouvrir à la main et laissant la voiture en partie sur la route.
