"The view from the terrace was spectacular. And then to have dinner and breakfast out on the terrace and also see the sunrise was amazing."

The location was wonderful. Sitting having a delicious dinner on the terrace overlooking the Seine was something I will never forget. A real treat. The staff were charming, the room was comfortable, the bathroom was perhaps a little old-fashioned but we really had no complaints.

Views were amazing - loved the pig and the pony plus the peacocks
would have loved a swimming pool

Lovely house and gardens. The bed was very comfortable and our room was clean and tidy.
As you enter the house there were slavery statues which as you can imagine is quite distasteful and unpleasant. The dinner specifically was diabolical. If you stay here I would 100% not recommend having the dinner as it was expensive and dreadful.

Big room, great view.
We stayed in an old French château, which is undoubtedly beautiful and full of history, but the overall experience didn’t quite meet expectations. There is no restaurant or bar available every day—only on weekends—and during weekdays they offered dinner on just one evening. It would have made a big difference to have the option for lunch, drinks, or snacks, especially given the lovely surroundings. Unfortunately, there is also no proper outdoor seating area to sit back and enjoy the weather, the view, and the nature. There is a dog in the house—cute and calm—but she is allowed everywhere, including the dining area during breakfast, which might not be comfortable for all guests. In terms of atmosphere, while the château itself is impressive, some of the interior details felt a bit unsettling. The paintings and statues, in particular, had a strange, almost eerie character that made certain areas feel slightly uncomfortable, especially at night. Overall, the value for money feels low. While it could appeal to those who enjoy historic places with a mysterious or gothic vibe, it may not suit everyone.
