A Cut Above Lodge - The Gateway to the Bay of Islands

We thoroughly enjoyed our 8-night stay from 10–18 June. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and was exceptionally clean, spacious, and well equipped. Having the entire holiday home to ourselves provided a comfortable and relaxing experience. The three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and electric/gas fireplace made it feel like a home away from home. The location was peaceful and quiet, yet conveniently situated for exploring Northland. The host was also outstanding - always responding promptly to messages. When we experienced an issue with the television, they came over immediately to investigate and replaced the TV on the spot, ensuring the problem was resolved straight away. Their responsiveness and commitment to guest comfort were greatly appreciated. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this property to others.

No suggestions for improvement as the accommodation met all our needs and provided an excellent base for our holiday. Overall, the property and host exceeded our expectations.

Lovely stay ,great comfortable beds,the fire place was easy to use looked great and soon warmed the whole accommodation . Relaxing lounge area, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more.

No rubbish bin in the bathroom, Separate Toilet would have been good with 5 of us all wanting showers and Toilet at a similar time ,

The accommodation was totally great. Very smart, very clean and tidy. While hosts were close by, they totally respected our privacy. Any queries were answered immediately and they even gifted us fruit from their own garden. We found there was so much to do and see within easy driving distances. Really loved the area, scenery and the people

Seriously there was nothing we disliked. Clearly you would need transport to stay there but we enjoyed the peace and quiet of being a short way out of the town.
