Not As Advertised - We Moved!

Not as advertised. We specifically booked for the sunset view. Our "sunset view" room had two trees which would impact/obscure the sunset to some extent, though maybe the others further along would be fine. The property also mentioned a cafe on site. No. There is a cafe at the end of the narrow path by the road which is not part of the suites. The room was small - pictures gave a different impression and there was a weird smell. On closer inspection on the other side of the suites outside there was some wasteland/car park which was littered with discarded metal & old kitchen appliances. Appeared run down. Close to the room there was a barking dog that yapped everytime someone walked down the path. The breakfast is normally delivered at 09.00, after some negotiation they said they could do 09.30. You have to communicate by app and the "manager" is quite abrupt & rude. We were there for a romantic anniversary so made the impulse decision to leave and book elsewhere forfeiting our money rather than stay and have an unpleasant memory for our anniversary. Thank goodness we did. Cannot understand why it has such a high rating/good reviews on Booking.com. There are better places but you really have to do your homework for a decent sunset view in Oia.

Everything. The location was close to the centre but away from the hustle and bustle - so peaceful. Just perfect! The outdoor area with sunset view was incredible, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Santorini.

Amazing experience for couples

We loved everything about this suite. Very clean, super comfortable, and amazing design. We have a direct view over sunset from the pool.

The most wonderful gem and an absolute must stay in beautiful Oia

Staying at Santolia Art suites was an absolute treat. Highly recommended and furnished with high standards and attention to every detail. The room was super clean, nicely decorated, beds comfortable for a good sleep, spacious, and my absolute fave was the pool and jacuzzi area with THE perfect ocean an stunning sunset view. We easily spent a full day just relaxing and tanning and dipping in the pool. Location was perfect just a 2 min walk and you are in the heart of Oia. The service and hospitality were incredible and I absolutely recommend this place to everyone. Many thanks the Santolia Art Suites. Cant wait to be back!

We had a lovely stay at Santolia and would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

The location was amazing. You could see the sunset from your room. No need to battle the crowds to see it. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The private pool was so great for cooling down and for watching the sunset. The host and his team are wonderful and can’t do enough to make your stay pleasant.

The location was amazing with our own private pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly, punctual and extremely well at communicating with us during our whole stay we receive breakfast every morning on our porch, and the hot tub was cleaned every single morning. Alexander and his staff were more than accommodating, providing us with various recommendations, as well as helping us set up transfers that were seamless. Just off the coast of Oia, it is just a two minute walk from the main hub where everyone is with countless restaurants in sites to see. Your hot tub and pool and suite are all facing the sunset so you get your own private show. I could not recommend a better place to stay if you were coming to Oia.

Amazing Apartment - Would highly recommend!

The room was amazing! We could not fault anything. The location was great to head into Oia. The outside area had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time there. Breakfast was great, fresh and delivered at a time to suit us each morning. The sunset, we was in awe the first night at how amazing it was - the view from our private area was spectacular. Better than all the restaurants we had booked. The host was extremely helpful, we gave us great recommendations, helped us book taxis and answered all our needs/questions.

A beautiful place to enjoy the sunset while being away from the storms of people.

1) The view of the sunset is amazing just from your pool. 2) The hosting is very nice, and they provided a bottle of wine and a bottle of sparkling wine as well. Alexander is always available by message, and he even helped book us a ride to the airport last minute. 3) The room is very spacious, the bed is super comfortable, and it is very nice. 4) The terrace is also very spacious, and the pool and jacuzzi are perfect temperatures.

1) The terrace isn’t as private as you think it is. You can still see people walking by looking in to your space, and the neighbors are very close by as well. 2) We had the very first room, so there was almost no shade on the terrace from sunrise to sunset. 3) For the price maybe a few more things could’ve been provided like a shower cap and a razor.

Scam.

We were completely disappointed. I’ve never had to write a bad review before. We splurged to have a nice place in Santorini for an infinity plunge pool with a view and a hot tub but got none of this. The hot tub was Luke warm at best and the pool had a wall in front of it with a busy walk way right in front so when people pass by they curiously look into your unit. The hot tub also had a broken light that hung out of the socket with wires hanging out, when we let the host know he passively insinuated that we broke it by saying he had walked by the unit and said “you had fun in the jacuzzi, no?” which made us feel like we were being watched. He made very rude comments like this when we were simply asking about amenities. When we first checked in the staff barley spoke English and when they tried to contact the host for help he never replied until hours after we checked in. The bathroom had mold all over its ceiling, the water built up around the ankles in the shower and had black stuff floating in it from the drain, green stuff growing around the hot tub edge, dirty cushions on the Lounge chairs, and there were holes in the sheets. The unit we got was right next to a storage area and a restaurant so it did not feel like we had privacy, when looking out the bathroom you can see right out to the storage area where people kept motors and they could see straight in if they wanted to. This was NOT worth the one thousand dollars we spent. If you are going to listen to any recommendation, please listen to this one. Do not stay here.

A fantastic place in a beautiful location - we had an amazing stay here!

The breakfast was delicious and the portions were huge! The staff are friendly and helpful - often at short notice. The room is beautiful, with a generous sun terrace with loungers, chairs, a table and more. The plunge pool and hot tub were perfect too.

The caldera view from the pool was obscured by a wall - but this really isn't the end of the world, because you can see the view fine from the sun loungers and chairs.

Perfect setting, location and views away from the crowds but just a 5 minute walk into town

We were greeted by Alexander who brought someone along to help with our bags. We arrived early but the room was available for an early check in which is always nice. The room was clean and modern and had everything we needed with plenty of space. The large balcony had a plunge pool and a hot tub with the perfect view of the Santorini sunset. Breakfast was served at the time we requested each morning. It arrived on a tray and was nicely presented. There was a good variety of things to eat. Fresh fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs a selection of pastries and bread with butter, jam, honey and chocolate spread. This was served with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. The day we checked out Alexander met us again to say goodbye and helped with our bags once more. I would 100% recommend this accommodation.

Wow! No words can describe how much we appreciated this property!

Wow! No words can describe how much we appreciated this property. I came to Santorini 7 times in 10 years and that's the best property I ever rented on the island. From the very beginning, the host was super smiling, nice and helpful. He even offered us a free massage when we arrived. Big shout out to the Indonesian masseuse who was extremely competent and friendly. The room is comfy, the shower sweet and appreciable and the double pool with the jacuzzi made our trip just unforgettable. The view with the sunset is amazing : the best view that you can possibly find in Oia. The breakfast is varied with fresh and excellent product. The property is located few steps from the city center, excellent location. We will definitely come back here in the future! Ευχαριστώ!

Great stay in Oia with semi-private patio, pool, and hot tub.

The Santolia Art Suites is in a very convenient location just off the main road in Oía. You are only a few minutes walk from all of the amenities that Oía has to offer but you also get the privacy of being on the backside of Oia. We got to watch amazing sunsets from our semi-private pool and hot tub. The breakfast was awesome! We loved having a fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, and a variety of pastries everyday. The espresso machine eñ suite was very nice as well. The small fridge was a big plus too!

There isn’t much I didn’t like about our stay. The only small negative was that there was a dog at a home up the walkway that would jump up on the fence and bark at us when we walked by. Didn’t really effect our stay but just be aware of it so it doesn’t give you a small fright the first time. :)

The sunset view is the best in aio! Watching it from your own private hot tub is something special. Private room, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast is very nice. Aio is a 2 minute walk away.
