The cottage is simple, beautiful and traditionally arranged. It is very comfortable and homely and has everything you need, without being “high end”. Our hosts were lovely meeting us, prompt with communicating and clearly in love with their island and home. Don’t come looking for a luxury apartment. Come looking for your family’s ideal cottage escape.
Everything was wonderful.

Le cadre chaleureux, l’accueil et les attentions de l’hôtesse qui avait tout prévu pour le petit-déjeuner et le petit verre d’arrivée, les draps de qualité, le calme des lieux qui rend le séjour très coocooning.
A défaut de lave-vaisselle, pas vraiment nécessaire, il serait bien d’avoir de l’eau chaude à la cuisine.
Il conviendrait de prévenir que la pente est vraiment raide pour arriver jusqu'à la maison et que tout le monde ne peut effectuer ce chemin.

The 2 bedroom cottage was perfect for the 3 of us. It was exceptionally clean. the owners left breakfast supplies and a nice bottle of wine when we arrived. It was a wonderful place. the only warning is to be aware it is located about a half mile walk uphill to reach it from the port and main town area. But worth it. Just be prepared.
Just plan your day for the walk unless you are young and fit.

Comfortable and prepared and cozy for us! We had everything we needed and more. Vaso greeted us at the port, helped us book mules for our luggage, and was always available and so sweet and helpful.
The fact of the matter is that Hydra is a car-less, bike-less island and this property is very high on the hill. The cobblestone road to get there is completely safe, legit, marked, and easy to follow. But it is slippery, by nature of it being old and worn and beautiful! So it is a somewhat stressful trek up and down, even though it is as feasible as it possibly could be.
