The chalets with its unique architecture of Velika planina and all the comforts of home ... Tourist settlement was build according to the plans of the architect Vlasto Kopac (1964), the cottages are built in the unique style and are in their appearance very similar to the herdsmen's cottages.
This is a trip high in the mountains. We do not recommend to go up with suitcases with rollers (it's very useless). It's better to go up with backpacks.
Parking: You leave the car on the parking at the bottom station of cable car.
You go up by cable car and double seat lift (read the instructions below). In case of fog, you will not find the chalet without Gps.
Nearby Ljubljana and only few kilometres from the town Kamnik is located the bottom station of the cable car to Velika planina, which takes you amongst the green pastures of the mountain plateau in the heart of the Kamnik Alps.
We recommend that you walk to the herdsmen's settlement and feel the simple way of the herdsmen's life, taste their dairy products and admire the unique architecture of the cottages which define Velika planina. To those, who are more active, the mountain offers ideal possibilities for hiking and various mountain-cycling tours.
My place is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
Don't not forget that Chalet Resa is located high in the mountains (1600 M), so the appropriate equipment (hiking boots, warm cloths) is really necessary.
There is also a dining area and a kitchen fitted with an oven and refrigerator. Private bathroom with a shower is available in every unit. Towels and bed linen are provided.
Chalet Zlatica Velika Planina also includes a sauna and a terrace. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site snack bar.
Ski equipment hire, bike hire and car hire are available at the property for the area is popular for skiing. A range of activities are offered in the area, such as cycling and hiking. The nearest airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, 16 km from Chalet Zlatica Velika Planina.
Please note that the nearest parking is located near the gondola base station at the foot of Velika Planina.
