We knew the property was old but we didn't realise how old it really was & that it had been a monastery building, we were so so amazed. The room we had was huge & very modernised but you could still see the history around the room. The breakfast was of a good quality ( especially the bread) & the breakfast room was absolutely amazing, like something out of a medieval film. A lot of guests are long distance walkers & they were always easy to talk to around the breakfast table. The host Jeremy is such a lovely bloke, always up for a chat & has a great sense of humour. It's also in a great location just a very short walk to the centre of town. Can't recommend this property highly enough.

towels were damp and a bit smelly - host did swap them online info re air conditioning a little ambiguous - the apartment didn’t have it and very difficult to get wifi

Location was fabulous, the accommodation was outstanding and very friendly and helpful host. We loved our stay here and totally recommend staying here.

Location was great. Jeremy, the new owner as of April 2026, is very kind but is dealing with some advertising issues.

There were several listing discrepancies on the Booking.com site for this property that the new owner, Jeremy, said he was unaware of and we recommended that he gets them fixed. For example, there is no air conditioning, the parking is not free, there is no cooked breakfast - these were all things that were listed (hopefully he has removed them). That said, the breakfast that was offered was fine for us. Not having air conditioning was an issue. Also, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor due to a known drainage issue.
