Beautiful house in small village, lovely communal space
There is a keybox just inside porch door - it’s a little tricky to find initially Lovely communal space
Not a huge amount of storage room eg cupboards and drawers in the bedrooms Not quite enough cutlery - an easy fix!

Lovely property inside for large family gatherings,
The interior and set up lovely. Very well equipped for self catering. with dishwasher and washing machine . Comfortable bedrooms apart from issue with one of the beds which I promptly reported. However this did not spoil our stay as there was an alternative bedroom. Peaceful location with lovely views.
Needs clearer signage at the property as it was difficult to find. The gate entrance needs attention. Hedges need cutting brambles need clearing footpath needs attention and smartening up. Bushes and trees need cutting back. Although there's a BBQ area not pleasant as needs weeding as does the pathway. Few minor maintenance issues which i reported following our stay but none that spoiled our stay.

Overall enjoyable but it’s far from perfect for the price!
The location is stunning and the building itself has been restored really well. The main kitchen/ living area is great for entertaining a large group. The enclosed garden is a safe space for children and dogs. The beds were comfy apart from one. The decor and furniture is tasteful
It felt very unloved. There were cobwebs around the doors and windows. The garden furniture was dirty and strewn around the place. One of the outside spaces was overgrown with nettles. The main bedroom cupboard was rammed full of stuff including a Christmas tree so we had to empty it in order to hang clothes up. One of the single bed mattresses was very uncomfortable with a big hole in it. This has been mentioned on other reviews and not been replaced. Little things like providing washing up cloths and coffee pods would have been nice. One tea towel for 7 people over 3 nights is not enough. The freezer was dirty with the remnants of some melted ice cream. It’s a shame because one of these things is acceptable but all together left us feeling we had been ripped off especially having to pay a £200 cleaning charge for our stay!

Would book again.
Facilities and location were excellent for 6 adults 5 children and 2 dogs.
Shortage of cleaning materials to tidy up after ourselves.

Could have been perfect
The location was perfect. Gorgeous views, less than 5 mins to the beach and less than 10 mins to Whitby centre. The house was lovely and charming, the main social area was great.
It could have been cleaner. Toilets were fine so was the bedding but the bedrooms were absolutely full of cobwebs, I've never seen so many. And easily removable too. There were also spillages on bedside tables that hadn't been cleaned and a gross looking splash stain on the wall by the toilet... I shared a room with my daughter so we took the 2 single beds. One of the mattresses wasn't even worth being on the bed. It was so uncomfortable. However, all other beds were comfy. Would be good if there was a toaster too.
