Wi-Fi could have been better on the top floor we feel we didn’t get much connection so maybe it’s own Wi-Fi in the top room would be better but overall nothing else was a problem :)

Great value for money in a great location

The hosts are both lovely people. Immediately felt very welcomed - got some good local advice and a tour of the apartment. We also got plenty of information in advance. It's a great location and only 10 minutes walk from the train station, town centre is very close by as well with lots of local businesses. Although it's very close to town the street itself was very quiet. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed - plenty of stuff in the kitchen, TV with lots of channels, comfy bed, and lots of storage space. We had breakfast at the guest house one morning which was excellent, and good value as well. We felt the apartment was great value for money and we would definitely stay again.

The only small downside is that the apartment was quite cold sometimes. We did have the heating on and there were blankets, however I think just due to being an old building and having electric radiators, the heat just didn't hold well. Other than that there weren't any downsides and this didn't affect our stay too much.

Spotless, clean and tidy apartment, we stayed in apartment 2, had everything you could wish for and the hosts were really friendly and helpful, location was great too, definitely will return.

Really nice stay in the heart of Whitby

Very close to all the tourist attractions

It was quite difficult carrying a suitcase up the stairs to the apartment on the top floor , and the shower was a bit tight especially if you’re tall like we are, but we still had a great time in a great apartment.

Lovely, cosy and perfect for a couple

Brilliant location, only a few mins walk to get into the shops and centre of Whitby. The seaside and shops are really close but the place is located just outside the main area, not noisy at all at night time (except a random neighbour shouting something in the middle of the night and seagull noise but neither could've been done much about). The hosts (Jools and John) were very lovely and welcoming, pick up of the keys and paying for the accommodation was very fast. I rang them on the day of our travel and they did mention about the address (one street, two street names share the same postcode) which was very informative. Accommodation itself was lovely and cosy, we chose a place with kitchen as wanted to do some fishing and have them as a dinner one night. The kitchen has all the essential equipment for cooking and cooker/oven was straight forward to use (along with John's very good instruction and showing us around at the start!). The shower is good, and overall place is perfect for a week's stay for a couple as it felt like a cosy mini apartment (with open plan space between the kitchen and living room). We stayed on 2nd floor, and it was very nice! The bed is interesting one, as it is very comfortable but does have two random dips on either side of the bed, while we couldn't snuggle due to I think it's a queen size bed and has the dips, it was comfortable to sleep on. Car park was straight forward, we were lucky to find a parking space down the road with 2-3 hours max stay, popped to the reception to check-in and purchased £5 car parking voucher from Jools and John for 4 nights stay, which is a bargain in comparison to if we parked by the seaside (£10 per day). Overall, would recommend this place. The host did mention that they can take booking directly which might be worth enquiring.

Property was spotless clean & the apartment had everything you could possibly need.very spacious,well decorated lots of storage.Close to town centre & all in all a great place to step.Jools & John are great hosts & made our stay a pleasurable one.Highly recommend to stay here.Value for money was excellent.Thanks Jools & John

A cosy, comfy stay in a quirky apartment.

The apartment was comfortable, welcoming and well equipped. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the lovely views across the rooftops.

The duvet was winter weight, heavy & thick - too hot for July! (We improvised by taking the cover off & using that as a sheet)

Exceptional apartment, perfectly located

We stayed in the apartments, which were furnished very comfortably and with good quality furniture, and it was equipped perfectly making a home from home experience! Only a 5 minute walk to the town and any sights you would want to see in Whitby.

The best accommodation we have had in many years visiting Whitby.

A full size apartment with a large lounge with a settee and armchairs and dining table , there is very well fitted with a full size kitchen fully fitted with full sized oven, 4 ring hob, fridge, toaster and microwave even down to the oven gloves. The high quality sockets and light switches were in the right place, bedside ones had usb sockets and dimmer switches are useful. The large bedroom is just as well fitted with a quality bed and storage. This apartment is home from home and has had thought and investment in its development beyond normal expectations.

Wonderful and extraordinary for the Price.

The owners were polite, informative, helpful and exceptionally nice people. They offered directions, suggestions on places to go and the best ways to get there. Both me and my partner felt like we were stopping at our aunty and uncles. Great people, great accommodation and a great holiday all round. I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. The Chiltern apartments are of an exceptional standard for the price range and well equipped. It even had Sky TV in the apartment, not that we watch TV much. Thank you both very much John and Julie. Fantastic and would readily book and stay again

The location was perfect a relatively short walk into town or in the opposite direction to enjoy the views from cliffs. Although we were self catering we chose to have a breakfast at the B&B 2 doors up we weren't disappointed wide range of options to suit all dietary requirements so good we went twice

Nothing at all, the only slight negative that has nothing at all to do with the property was the parking, we didn't move our car for the duration of the visit obviously parking permits etc are arranged by Chilton Holiday apartments we were lucky to get a spot right outside, but it's a reflection of how popular Whitby is, again this isn't a criticism of Chilton Holiday apartments at all

Self-catering. Very clean. Very near Skinner Street was a plus!

Egg cups, and kitchen roll would have been helpful. Crockery cupboards too high to access for short people. Also it is true, the bed is too soft and gave us backache.

Lovely apartment!

From the moment we booked, the hosts were in touch, explained everything on the phone, and when we arrived, they showed us around the property explaining everything. The apartment was lovely. It was obvious a lot of thought had gone into the decoration and details, providing tea,coffee, milk, towels, and toilet rolls, which was a lovely surprise. We were within walking distance of everywhere too, which was a bonus!

The apartment was in an ideal location for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. Jools and John were very welcoming and gave a thorough explanation about the facilities in the apartment. Cosy and very comfortable apartment

We stayed in apartment four which was a loft studio. It was so cosy and well equipped. It was very comfortable and we would definitely stay again. The hosts Jools and John were very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area. The location was very central, so within walking distance of everything.

excellent location-worth the money.

it was self catering. excellent location, worth the price- we had the attic appartment which had vgd views front & rear - comfy bed, awsome heaters for cold spells and awsome breeze if you opened the attic windows for hot spells.

previous guests hairs everywhere :-( not been vacumned, but to be fair there was a cordless vacumne to use, not enough towels, no washing machine, the leather sofa is old and not very comfy :-( kitchen stools was also not very comfy, to the rear if you opened your attic window for air, we had someone out at all hours smoking not a problem but his coughing was the worse ive heard he lived in the flats to the rear oppisite the chiltern. we had one night of him coughing :-( not chilterns fault, normandy terrace to the rear housed quite afew HMO type dwellings with a few roudy folk living there,
