Quite new. Close to the beach, nice pool, friendly staff.
The bathroom was under the water after we showered, the shower was clogged. Not many options for breakfast, very basic, but for the price ok

Comfy beds, air con was great, staff were friendly and pool was great.
Had to ask staff for housekeeping or fresh towels. We were there for a week. No hand towels provided. Description said there were TV's in room, when we asked they took it off the description. This would have come in handy for the day it rained. Description also says they have 2 pools - they dont. And that they have a private beach area and water slide and pool lounges, also not true. There are a couples of stools around the pool area, barely enough room for them, no beach area, but you can walk down the laneway. Breakfast is very basic - egg & toast & juice or coffee, was nice though for some days. We were on the top floor, so 3 flights of stairs and when it rains, the stairwell gets wet & the tiles are so slippery we all fell down them at some point.

Great view of the beach from top floor and only a minutes walk to the beach & lots of restaurants. Good aircon. Relatively clean.
WiFi is terrible and always drops out, rooms arenāt cleaned very well on an extended stay.

Walking distance from everything you needed - so close to the beach too. Staff were very friendly and accomodating and they gave water every day which was lovely. You could hand the keys to them in the morning and come back to a cleaned room - such great service.

What to say ?
Superbe Stay ! I really love being there !
Everyoneās so kind and lovely.
I think the breakfast could be a bit different, maybe more choice. Pancakes for instance or other..
But ⦠besides this lack of choice -> very good.

The location was good and near the beach. Room was clean and we also had a room with a lovely sea view.
Although we were on the top floor, the noises from outside kept us awake most of the night. Motorbikes, chickens, shouting, you name it. It was noisy! Breakfast was a slice of toast and eggs. The hot water in our room was only enough for 1 quick shower, so if two people want to have a shower one after the other, then the second shower will be cold.

I am so happy I picked this hotel. As a solo female traveller I would definitely recommend. Amazing value for money, I saw some bad reviews but Iām not sure what people expect to be honest, I payed Ā£15 a night, if you want perfection book a 5* hotel :) but this was perfect for me, clean, no bugs, great location etc
The pool was cosy and right on my door step/balcony. The location was perfect. And last but not least, the staff. I mainly met men working at The Pulau Bungalows but they are so helpful, lovely and made me feel so welcome.
One day it was raining and Daniel from reception offered to take me on a island tour for only around Ā£10, we was out all afternoon from around 3-7/8pm, he showed me all of the best places on the island I got on the back of his bike, we even sat on the beach chatting for a while and witnessed dolphins jumping and swimming on a secret beach that he took me too. I will definitely come back one day. Almost felt emotional leaving. I am so happy I chose this place. Thank you again ā¤ļø
When it rains there can be an ever so slight musty smell, Iām not sure if it was from the bathroom or aircon maybe but I think that is very common in Bali! I did not have any issues at all.

The location is great. Just steps away from the beach. Air conditioning is also good and the bed is comfortable
I was disappointed with my stay due to several issues in the room.
First, there was a strong smell of mould that was unbearable. It affected my sleep and made it difficult to relax in the room at all.
My room was on the ground floor, directly facing the reception area and the swimming pool. Because of this, I had to keep the blinds closed at all times to maintain privacy, which made the room feel dark and uncomfortable.
Additionally, the building is currently undergoing construction, and the noise from the workers early in the morning woke me up much earlier than expected.
The room itself felt quite basic and lacked essential decor and amenities. There was only one bedside lamp, and overall the room felt unfinished and not very welcoming

This hotel is very well located, you can get to so many places just walking! It's a 5-min walk to the beach (there's a pathway) and 5-10 min walk to restaurants and shops/market. The rooms are spacious and clean, they do not smell like mold as we see in so many hotels close to the beach. The pool is great for hotter days, good size.
The wi-fi is terrible, I had to work a couple of nights from there and the internet was very unstable and very slow. Also, they didn't have a desk in the room, so I had to hold my computer in my lap to work (I recommend they add a small desk and chair to the rooms, as there's space for that). Breakfast is included but it's simple with just egg any style, toast and a couple slices of fruit, with coffee or juice. You can get better breakfast in the nearby restaurants and cafes for very cheap.

Rooms were very clean. Bed was nice. Great location. Pool was nice. Clean towels. Good water pressure as well.
The breakfast was very limited, no sunbeds/beanbags next to the pool and the internet is just very spotty. For the price you pay (600k a night, thatās a lot for a simple guest house) starlink should be the standard as being a local island is not really an excuse anymore.

Breakfast was simple but nice- 2 eggs lightly toasted bread, juice, watermelon.
Staff friendly and helpful- shower drain was blocked and flooded the bathroom. They fixed it and cleaned the floor for us.
Shower was open and in middle of bathroom so floor was left wet and slippery. Would be an issue for elderly/ less able people.

We loved our stay here. We are a family with a 16 & 18 year old and we got 3 rooms next to each other on the ground floor. Everything was clean and comfortable with a cold airconditioner. We had breakfast included which was fruit, eggs on toast and juice, tea or coffee. Simple but enough and tasty. The location was great and the staff were very very friendly. They are happy to organise tours and scooters and have some drinks to buy behind reception. We would definitely stay again.

Beds are very comfortable, location is great just up the laneway from beach. Very modern rooms.
Not much to not like, the only thing I would recommend is to stay on a higher level of the hotel as we were on the ground floor and the staff sit right outside your room and lots of foot traffic. More private on the level 2 & 3.

There was a lot to like about Pulau Bungalow, but I had a few small issues which affected my rating. The room itself was nice and a reasonable size, with a comfortable bed. The aircon worked, but had to have it set on 18 degrees (everywhere else we stayed 22 degrees was fine), I think because there were some small gaps around the doors/windows which let air in and out. The shower was nice and great to have the extra tap for washing off sandy feet, but it only had warm water around 50% of the time. Short walk to a nice beach with bars and restaurants, although it was down a narrow alleyway which felt a bit uncomfortable on your own especially after dark, but there are other paths just along the road which are wider and better lit so we tended to use those. The hotel can help with booking tours and taxis etc. as well, and the staff on reception were always helpful. Wifi was generally good, and available on all floors. Pool was nice, although would be good to have some beanbags or sunloungers next to it.
There were a few small things, which on their own weren't too big an issue.
There was nowhere to hang your towel in the bathroom at all - they need to add some hooks or a rail. In general more places to dry things would be good - there was a small bamboo ladder on the balcony, but something bigger or another one would be really useful. We tried hanging things on the balcony railing once, but they blew down.
The room was described as a 'sea view', but you couldn't see the sea from the room. On the balcony, you had to go right up to the railing and look to the side to see the sea. This was disappointing as I was expecting to be able to sit on the balcony and look out at the sea. Most of the other rooms on that floor did have a sea view, but the two on our side didn't.
One of the reasons we booked this room was because I wanted a private balcony on an upper floor so we could have a private space to relax and also somewhere safe to put our surf and scuba kit out to dry. From the pictures it looked like the balconies were separate; however, our room had a shared balcony with another room (105 and 106). This felt a bit awkward when the other people were sat outside too, as well as less safe. There were also a couple of times when the other people wandered past our room windows on our side of the balcony, which felt like an invasion of privacy and we therefore kept the curtains shut a lot of the time. I guess they have this set up so that families/groups can have adjoining rooms, but when there are two separate bookings they should at least put a bamboo screen or something up to separate it.
As some others have noted, there was a bit of a smell from the drains in the showers.
Breakfast was disappointing. The only option was eggs your way (omelette/fried/pancake) and watermelon. If you can't or don't eat eggs, like me, there is no alternative. Everywhere else we stayed had other options such as toast, fried rice/noodles, etc.

The location was central to the beach clubs and main strip. The staff were extremely friendly too. We hired a scooter from the accommodation for 3 days. This allowed us to explore the island and to take the yellow bridge to Cenigan Island. We wish we could have stayed longer.
One night we didnāt have any water. We were on the third floor. I can only imagine this can be a problem at certain times and probably not the hotelās fault given the infrastructure and village culture of the island. This did not ruin our stay at all.

Location was good
Very basic room, no TV, poor internet and the stairs and walkway to the room was very slippery when it rained.
4.0 / 10.0
The room itself was nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable. I used the laundry service the hotel provides, and it was good and fast.
I stayed for 4 nights and was given a room directly in front of the reception desk, which was not shown in the photos and contradicted the 'pool view' promised in the booking. The room lacked any privacyāpeople constantly passed by and stared whenever I opened the night curtain, and there was no day curtain at all. I had to keep the room dark just to feel comfortable. The staff frequently sat on the edge of the terrace right in front of my door (one man in particular), which felt intrusive and inconsiderate.
The wifi signal was either very weak or didn't work at all. I had to use mobile data the whole time.
The breakfast was poor, and I found a flour bug in one of the meals - I don't think they store the ingredients properly.
