Jakels Rest was very comfortable, cosy and welcoming.
We did especially enjoy the wee dram left for us by the owners Paul and Sandy who are friendly and willing to spend time if required.
The enclosed garden is ideal for dog owners such as ourselves.
It was perfect for our short stay but would equally have been ideal for a longer holiday. We will definitely use them again if we're traveling in the area.
As this was a short stay we couldn't explore fully but did take the dogs up to Dalchork forest for a walk, hopefully in the future we can explore more.
For food we had a takeaway fish supper from The Pier which was delicious and filling.
Highly recommended.

Cute pretty cottage, very clean and comfortable. Everything provided and well equipped.

Well proportioned, good design, layout and decor. Very comfortable. Liked the patio door opening on to enclosed back garden. Lovely owners live next door should you need anything - however the cottage felt very private. Rural but not remote.
