Charming property with private heated pool in Sarlat

We have just enjoyed a wonderful 10 night holiday here in Sarlat ! The house is brilliantly located in a secluded wooded valley in the heart of Sarlat town close to all the amenities and supermarkets ! The pool is beautiful and very warm and the gardens well kept ! The Weber char coal barbecue was a god send and used every evening! Wild life is in abundance from Song birds galore, crickets, ducks, frogs , red squirrels and even an otter visiting us during our stay! The accommodation is spacious and comfortable! The air con worked a treat to keep the house a delightful temperature ! Both bathrooms were immaculate and the beds very comfortable ( you may want to take firmer pillows ) the kitchen was small but well equipped with every appliance available for a modern kitchen ! The dishwasher was a god send and made life very easy after a barbecue! Quite simply the best holiday home we have stayed in in France ! Great value and luc was a fantastic host ! Highly recommended by our whole family including both babies !

Really enjoyed our stay in Luc’s beautiful property. Location is perfect for exploring both, Sarlat town ( walking distance) and “Golden Dordogne valley triangle”. Plenty of towels provided for chilling around the pool, well equipped kitchen if you feel like cooking as you are only moments from the shops. Luc was easy to deal with and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Grande maison ancienne (ex moulin) parfaitement rénovée. Suite principale en rez de chaussée, très grande salle à manger salon, piscine tempérée 10X5 exceptionnelle, grand deck avec vue sur les arbres du parc, Source d'eau et petit ruisseau agrémentent le parc. Aucune pollution visuelle ou sonore tout en étant très proche de Sarlat Centre ou des supermarchés. Aimable reception et discretion du proprietaire.

Luc was very welcoming when we arrived and ran through everything. He doesn't speak much English so the instruction sheet needed to be in English as well. Over all we felt it was alot of money for what it was, the kitchen was out dated and small, it did have all the utensils you could need, the dining area was good, the living area sofas were OK just a bit old and sticky. Upstairs, one of the bedrooms was just a makeshift affair with a curtain across, none of the beds had headboards except the one downstairs. The master upstairs had hessian carpet that hurt your feet and a sloping ceiling meaning you couldn't sit up in bed. The upstairs family bathroom had no shower and the window wouldn't open. Upstairs was so hot with no air-conditioning just fans,but you can't open the windows as the mosquitoes come in, could do with mesh at the windows. The pool was lovely and clean and warm, the decking was a bit warped and splitery. The mosquitoes were a pain. Good location, can walk to Sarlat, and supermarket just round the corner. Over all a nice week away just a bit expensive
