Perfect place for day trips out. Plenty of walks locally also to exercise the dog before heading out.

Ideal location being close but not too close to Windermere lake. Kitchen well equipped and great use of the hot tub.

Great family break

Great location , very clean and comfortable, well equipped with everything you need , large hot tub in rear garden , ample parking we had 2 cars , very large cottage all rooms were a generous size , there was 5 adults and 1 teenager we all enjoyed our stay and would recommend 10/10

Quiet family getaway from hustle and bustle to relax

It was quiet, it was central to Kendal town 10 mins away and Grasmere, Ambleside… hot tub was fab, bit cold when got out though!! It was welcoming and homely, the Christmas decorations were a lovely touch

Cottage was very large with excellent facilities. Clean and well presented, beds comfy and the kitchen had plenty of utensils etc. Hot tub was great.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a family of 4 with a dog! Hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a day of walking.

Time for family relaxation between some stunning long walks.

Burrow Cottage was lovely - plenty of space for our family to relax. We especially loved the hot tub - great after our long walks. Exceptionally clean and Emma was extremely helpful in providing candles in case we ran out of power during a very stormy night.

The Cottage is located close to a very busy road which can be noisy at times - but it is set back on a driveway.

Weekend celebrating Life, Love and Friendship

The cottage was absolute spotless. Location was perfect....easy to find just off main road but we weren't affected by any traffic noise. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, although we didn't venture far as that wasn't what the break was about for our group. Ideal for our dogs with the enclosed garden. The hot tub was just amazing and Emma was a fantastic host, so helpful and friendly 🥰

The only thing was the smoke detector in the kitchen was over sensitive. It went off when making toast in the toaster, not even burnt so when cooking a full English it got quite annoying.

A beautiful cottage in an excellent location

The property was clean and well equipped. The location was an excellent base to enjoy all that the Lake District has to offer. The hot tub was a lovely addition and we used it a few times over the week. A roaring log fire in the evening was a perfect way to end a busy day x

Gorgeous Cottage

The owner was so accommodating providing fresh eggs milk and biscuits on arrival such a lovely touch. The cottage was exceptional and very clean. Loved the hot tub. Perfect staycation for a family or group of friends

I like how it brings an old school vibe and modern vibe with the jacuzzi! The property is in a decent location as well. Also, the owner of the property was very friendly and made the stay comfortable.

Amazing stay!

The location of the cottage is very good to visit the Lake District. It was quiet (even with the road passing in front of it, you don’t hear traffic). The beds were very comfy. The fireplace is lovely. It was very clean. The garden and the hot tub are a really great addition. The children enjoyed the books and toys. And the hosts are lovely, we were welcomed with fresh milk, eggs and chocolate bars!

It would have been perfect with a dishwasher. Indeed, for a family of 6, it is not great to wash the dishes during holidays! Maybe a laundry machine would have been great as well.

Superb cottage, good location, 10 mins drive from the lake.

This cottage has a great balance of traditional features mixed with modern facilities. While the original building is kept including a lovely fireplace, there is a huge modern kitchen which will serve you well if you travel with kids or with a group of friends.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage. Emma was very helpful arranging balloons etc for our birthday celebration. Thank you much appreciated.

Six adults with only one bathroom was difficult at times, extra toilet would have made the stay easier.
