Very dated. Thick band of pink plastic flowers stuck along hallway and around shower No towels. Found some eventually in a drawer in living room, sofa bed drawer - didn’t know if they were clean or not.

Over-priced and the property needs work

The location

The property was tired and over -priced. Our booked accommodation was cancelled with 2 days notice and this was available. There were a number of faults including the flush on the toilet and tap on the sink being loose.

VERY disappointing apartment, which was dirty and poorly maintained

The location is very convenient for the town centre.

Firstly, the access road is EXTREMELY narrow and steep, leaving scratches from bushes on my car. It is also NOT suitable for people with mobility issues, due to a large amount of steep steps to negotiate when coming and going on foot. Neither of these issues are mentioned in the property description. Our apartment was poorly maintained and not clean. The only bathroom for an apartment which can sleep 4 is a TINY shower room with no shelves or storage and a rusty shower which had a plastic shower caddy hanging in it and contained a used bar of soap and a previous guests empty conditioner bottle. This shower room is also only accessible via the bedroom. There is no wardrobe and only an open hanging rail situated in the lounge. In the kitchen the toaster did not work and the only tray for using in the oven was rusty. The grill tray was also left dirty with food on it and spots of rust. The place-mats in the lounge were dirty with old food stains. The TV remote did not work. The floors were dirty and there was a huge cobweb hanging in the toilet. It states that towels are provided, yet there was only two very small bath towels provided with no hand towels in the bathroom or toilet. I received a telephone call a couple of hours after arriving from the host. I assumed she was calling to ask/check if all was okay. If she had, I would have expressed our feelings. However, she was calling to ask me to move my car a little. When I messaged her to express our feelings on the accommodation, I offered to discuss or elaborate on this. However, she showed no real interest in establishing what the problems were, let alone try to resolve them or discuss at all. Knowing that the charge included a £25 cleaning fee just compounded the issue. We were refunded the night we didn't stay due to leaving a day early, which we would fully expect at the least. But no apology for effectively ruining our weekend and no offer to compensate or at the very least, return the cleaning fee.

Great location, terrible access road, rotten hand rail leading up the steps to the front door, hole in the floor boards underneath the vinyl flooring in the shower room, terrible bed, no dressing table area for my wife, disappointed to be honest

The Commanders Cabin was a great place to stay. Clean tidy and had everything that we needed. Lovely location close to the town (10 minutes walk). Sarah-Jayne our host was so friendly and checked to see we were all good. Also the cabin has a nice decking area which you can sit out in good weather.

Easy access to Looe Center

We stayed in January and the heating was on 24 hours a day so lovely and warm, we could charge our car overnight at a very reasonable price so we had a full battery every morning ready for the days exploring. Perfect thank you.

Great apartment with lots of space & so close to train station albeit up a small hill. Sara-Jane was very welcoming & helpful.

It’s an old building as they all are, so it’s always difficult when people staying next to you are a little noisy. Only a very minor inconvenience.

Nicely located and well priced flat. Not easy to reach via narrow road.

The flat is very nice, it's not far from centre (although not sure if I would walk that much). Owners super candid and helpful.

Directions are not great, gmaps could not find it. The road going to the parking is super narrow and has overgrown plants and bushes that scratched the paint of my car, super unhappy about that. The flat is great but you can hear people above as if they were next to you, at 6 AM they woke up eveday and did "stufff" like playing with their dog and walking with roller suitcases that made it impossible to sleep. It was a torture to be honest.

Welcoming Apartment In Looe

The hosts, Sarah-Jane & Peter went over & above to help us when we rang to say we'd broken down on the way to Looe. We thought we would lose a day of our holiday & be towed home by the RAC. Sarah-Jane offered that we could turn up the following day if we wanted to & still have our 3 night stay. On arrival, we were met by Peter who made us feel very welcome. You wont find better hosts anywhere. We liked the space the apartment offered us and the close proximity to Looe town, just a short walk away. Also lovely scenic views over Looe estuary can be enjoyed whilst sitting on the comfortable decking area. The kitchen is very well supplied with all you'll need.

We struggled with the steep steps when returning to the apartment, however we are in our 60's. Lounge furniture is more geared for sleeping than chilling & watching TV.

Good location, had everything we need for the 4 nights were there. Nearby pub, and only about a 15 minute walk to the sea front.

TV didn't work because the aerial cable was not long enough to plug into it and the shower room was very small. The accommodation was very basic, and there was no view out of the windows.

good location to explore Looe and parking excellent. Close to station if you wanted to get about by train without any noise interference from the station. Very cosy for 2 people ;might have been vey tight for 4 people. Spa treatments from Sarahjane fab Shared use of outside space nice

Fantastic owners! Communication was immediate and really helpful. Nothing too much trouble and made us feel like we'd stayed with friends. There's a fantastic outside seating area...with string lights, cushions and with a fabulous view of the water....a real bonus for early morning coffee on the terrace or an evening drink. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again...and I'm sure we will be! Apartment is homely, with some beautiful touches...and everything thought of, I loved the style. All Covid precautions were taken...we felt very happy here.
