This delightful little idyll is aptly named. We spent five very enjoyable nights here.  There are three cottages. Each has a fine view; ours was stunning, with a comfortable deck for lounging. Our room was basic but attractive, with a comfortable, floor-level bed, water heater and dispenser, hangers and a couple of bedside tables and electrical outlets. I'm not sure if the shower had heated water, but it started cool, moved to warm and was perfect. The and keeping the big window open kept us comfortable at night. We didn't use the mosquito netting because it was super thick and wouldn't let the air in. We also had good repellent. The few bites we got didn't seem to itch, so no big deal. It was quite windy a few nights which was delightful but not quiet. Bring your plugs and an eye mask and you will be fine. The cottages are nestled in a remote inlet with mangrove trees behind and coral formations below. It is beautiful and peaceful. We spent many happy hours simply enjoying the view. Note: if you don't rent a motorbike (I'm not a confident rider, and one look at the roads convinced me a bike was not in my future), then you may feel isolated and will be at the mercy of the extortionate taxi rates of $9 USD into town (set by the local taxi organization). Risky, the manager, was almost always present and very helpful. Tours, yoga, taxis and massages were easily arranged through him and billable to the room. We had a lovely full day boat trip with Ryan ♥️ and Captain Echo (sp?) and they were great. Breakfast was good; no choice but different every day. Lunch and dinner were excellent. Prices are high by local standards, but not unreasonable. Overall, a beautiful place to while away the hours and a reasonable value for the money.
They ran out of Sprite, then tonic, so the only mixer was coke. Not a huge deal, but if we had known, he would have bought and brought our own.

An absolutely incredible stay, far beyond my expectations. The setting is simply beautiful, incredibly peaceful, and the perfect place to completely switch off and disconnect. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel a wonderful sense of calm and serenity. Everything is beautifully maintained, both inside and out, and absolutely spotless. A very special mention to Tono and Astrid, as well as Riski, for their incredible kindness, attentiveness and warm hospitality. They are always available, always listening, and genuinely do everything they can to make you feel at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, rest and a true escape from everyday life. And one piece of advice: book a few extra nights! Once you are there, it is incredibly hard to leave. We left with heavy hearts because we felt so happy and peaceful there. A truly beautiful and unforgettable experience. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

It’s hard to describe the experience at Floating Paradise in just a few lines, as the time spent here felt truly timeless. The place is incredible: isolated, magical, and immersed in nature, surrounded only by sea, mangroves, trees, and untouched wilderness. Access is easy: 15 minutes by scooter from the center, with a short stretch on a manageable path. After the second time, you feel completely at ease. This eco-lodge is outstanding. Our room was perfect, thoughtfully designed and equipped with everything we needed. Lulled by the sounds of water and wind, it was an incredibly peaceful retreat. The dining space is ideal, and the food is excellent: fresh fruits, fish, meat, and ever-changing daily breakfasts, all delicious, fresh, local, and expertly prepared. The offerings match the rest of the experience: simply incredible. We enjoyed a massage, a full day on the eco-boat, kayaking and a laundry service. Next time, we’ll definitely try the yoga! The team makes the stay even better: attentive, caring, responsive, professional, and always smiling. A huge thank you to Tono and Astrid, the founders of this magical place, who have created such a paradise on earth. This stay was a timeless bubble, thanks to the setting, the activities, and the people. What you offer goes far beyond a hotel, it’s an ecological, conscious, and meaningful approach. This place, built in harmony with nature, will reveal far more than you expect. Don’t miss the chance to visit the school they founded or take part in a beach cleanup to discover even more of what this couple does for this magical island, and to meet part of their community. You don’t want to miss that! We will definitely return next year, as the experience here is unmatched in every way. Thank you, and see you soon, Floating Paradise 🩷 Alexandra & Clement
