If it is available, it would be our first option for Ostia, even for Rome, considering that we travel many times in Rome.
Pleasant communication in italian/english (in our case) via phone or WhatsApp with the host.

Clear and complete information about check-in, property, stores, parking, beach, and all that you might need.
Near to the bus station, close to the beach/sea, not far away from the train station 'Lido Centro'(aprox.6 minutes with the bus or 850 meters if you walk). From there you can travel very easily to Rome center. One option is to travel with the train from Lido Centro to Basilica San Paolo and from there to change to the metro line to different destinations in Rome.
Also it is very easy to travel to Fiumicino airport. We learned that there is a bus from Ostia (Stazzione Vecchia) to Fiumicino airport. The trip takes around 30 minutes.
The 'Stazzione Vecchia' station is at 300 meters away from the apartment.
The apartment is very well equipped, and we found everything we need, even toys for kids for the beach.
We also appreciate the snacks or refreshments prepared.
All small details prepared by the host made the difference, and that is why we will return.

Clean, comfortable, fresh. Great location and fully equipped with everything I needed. The washing machine and dryer (although it was warm enough not to need it) was just the luxury I craved at the end of a long trip.
The hosts could not have been more accomodating- from sending through exceptional directions, providing personalised support with transport and explaining local accommodation laws - such as ID and tourist tax requirements. Very much appreciated- especially as a solo traveller - from Australia!
It’s a great spot with lots to do - or nothing at all - except soak up the amazing Italian food, culture, friendly neighbourhood hospitality and seaside breeze!
Great to get away from hectic inner city Rome - but easy to access by local trains when desired.

Nice clean apartment, very well equiped with more than we needed. Sofa was surprisingly good for sleeping. It was close to the beach and train station.
