Cecilia was an absolutely wonderful host — warm, attentive and incredibly communicative from start to finish. Her reception and attention to detail made us feel immediately welcome. The accommodation is part of a small family-run wine farm managed by Cecilia and her husband, and their care really shows.
We stayed in the cottage which was spotless and very well equipped — everything we needed was provided. It’s perfectly sized for two people and felt cosy and comfortable throughout our stay.
The wine tasting on the farm was intimate and private, a real highlight. They also run boat cruises on the Douro with Cecilia’s husband and son — we did one and would highly recommend it. It’s a lovely way to see the area and adds a special touch to the visit.
The location is ideal: about a 15-minute drive to two larger villages, so you’re close to shops and restaurants but still feel wonderfully removed from the city. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I’d wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
There was nothing we felt needed improving, though a couple of practical tips are useful (Cecilia shares this with you as well): the nearest shops are about 15 minutes’ drive away, so it’s wise to buy groceries beforehand — once you arrive you won’t want to leave. We had our own car, which made getting around very easy; I would recommend having a car, as the property is up in the mountains and public transport is limited.

A lovely place to wake up among the vineyards at a local winemaker's.
Peacefully located, with the village center easily accessible by car.
Fully private apartment and swimming pool.
The barbecue was in need of a thorough cleaning.
