IRMA Manarola

Our family LOVED this house, I only wish we could have stayed longer! Irma is a great communicator--all of our queries were answered immediately and Irma was super helpful. The place is beautiful and the beds were comfortable. It has a lovely terrace to look out upon, and as coffee drinkers Irma has a BIG moka pot (instead of the teeny little moka pots that only serve like half a cup at most other places). Our 9-year-old loved his room and the kitchen was a great hang-out spot. This house is close to all the restaurants and the swimming, and right across the street from the bus stop that takes you to a nearby town. There a trekking poles available for use that were so thoughtful to include! Irma was so kind, and even let us store our bags for several hours after we checked out. What a kind person and a lovely home. We can't recommend it enough, our family loved it.

An air conditioner and washing/drying machine for clothes would make it a bit better.

It was very charming and better than the pictures depict. Irma provided everything we needed and more! Manarola is a lovely village and the apartment is perfect because it provides beautiful street and hillside views slightly away from the main action, which is just a moment’s stroll down the street.

I uploaded 7-8 actual pictures of the apartment to show the very poor and dirty condition. Unfortunately, booking.com has refused to post most of them, even though they are authentic and quite revealing of the true colors of this place. Spider webs along the walls and ceilings, terrible smell from bed sheets, owner's old clothing in the bedroom closet (!) thin and very old shower towels with holes in them, smelly beds, very greasy and disgusting kitchen exhaust fan...and more. I invite all potential guests to read my other reviews and you'll see that I've always been very fair, objective and honest. In the end, it's your decision if you still wish to stay in such a dump.
