Manarola Gem!

We were so appreciated grateful for Irma's responsiveness and the lovely family - crafted rosè she left was a much appreciated welcome for us weary & worn travelers! Highly recommend! Convenient to the CoOp market, Rx, post office & just a few steps to take-away pasta & delicious Hugo spritz! Situated up a steady incline from the arrivals tunnel, but not so far up that you can't come back down the main drag. It's also worth noting that the path that continues up from IRMA will take up up to part of the trail head, and you don't want to miss the Magnificent Manarola sunset over the harbour! Absolutely stunning!!

Perfect Base to visit Cinque Terre

Great space, quite high up the hill so wasnt too far away from the car park. Irma was also very friendly and easy to reach out to. She gave us a step by step before arriving (depending on whether we came by train or by car to Manarola)

Just wonderful

A wonderful location with easy access from the station and just minutes from the shops and sea but just up enough to be out of the way of the main hustle and bustle. The main bedroom with the balcony was a beautiful room and it was great to watch the world go by from. The host was super friendly and went above and beyond. Pasta takeaway at the bottom of the steps is SO good!

Exceptional

The apartment is beautiful!! Super confortable and with great space. Its location is also perfect, super close to the beach but still very quiet and calm. Its located in our favorite city in Cinque Terre and is right by the side of an amazing Poke restaurant (highly receommended, including for vegans/vegetarians).

our favourite stay. we loved it.

we loved our stay here! it was in a perfect location close to everything - restaurants and lookout locations. especially if you just keep walking up the stairs that get you to the property: there is a beautiful view. the view from the accomodation is nice too. some lemon trees and hills. the facilities were really good with pots and pans and everything you would need. bed was comfortable. talking to the host was really easy and she was so lovely. it was really nice meeting her.

nothing. we loved it all. was someone else’s milk and juice in the fridge but we weren’t really phased.

Old and dirty

I uploaded 7-8 actual pictures of the apartment to show the very poor and dirty condition. Unfortunately, booking.com has refused to post most of them, even though they are authentic and quite revealing of the true colors of this place. Spider webs along the walls and ceilings, terrible smell from bed sheets, owner's old clothing in the bedroom closet (!) thin and very old shower towels with holes in them, smelly beds, very greasy and disgusting kitchen exhaust fan...and more. I invite all potential guests to read my other reviews and you'll see that I've always been very fair, objective and honest. In the end, it's your decision if you still wish to stay in such a dump.

Great apartment in the heart of a beautiful village, surrounded by countless amazing views.

Irma, was a fantastic host and communicated in advice, giving clear instructions on how to find the apartment. The 2 bedroom apartment (one with a balcony, with a view over the village) was exactly as shown on Booking.com and did not disappoint. It was in a fantastic location, in the centre of the village, near restaurants, a short walk from the station, surrounded by breath taking walks and the magnificent sea front. Personally, I loved Manarola and it was definitely my favourite of the Cinque Terre villages. I would go back tomorrow if I could. Manarola and the other 4 villages in Cinque Terre are served by regular and cheap trains. The apartment was great value for money too. The weather (October 16th-23rd - 24 degrees in the day 20 degrees at night) was perfect and it was not as busy as the summer season.

The village restaurants and shops closed early (I think because it was the end of the holiday season), but after a long day of walking, climbing homes of steps and admiring the countless wonderful views, an early night was in need. The area is very steep with narrow paths and hundreds of steps, so it may not be suitable for everyone.

Great Host and Location

Wonderful host, amazing location in the center of Manarola, spacious apartment with a very nice and equipped kitchen, living room and a balcony. Really nice and cheap wine made by the host family available for 6 eur in the fridge was a nice bonus!

Very thin pillows (adding a couple would be nice) and not overly comfortable beds.

Good stay in Manarola

The location is perfect: in the old town, 5 min from the railway station, in a big, old, authentic house. It has all the facilities needed for a nice stay. You have a lot of space.The host was also very helpful, providing us many useful info.

Being an old house, the sound insulation is not the best. If you are a light sleeper, you will have difficulties, as during the night it can be quite noisy. The mattress is not good, very old and shabby. I had some serious back pain.
