Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Lots of lovely touches and a nice welcome pack when we arrived. Colene the host was very friendly and communication was great with her checking in with us that all was ok and proving lots of helpful information about local facilities. The location was great and it was lovely to be on the farm with the chickens and have the opportunity to feed the alpacas and plant trees. We had such an enjoyable stay.
Nothing. Everthing was excellent.

We stayed in the Dairy Parlour and it was perfect! So peaceful and cosy. Colene and family were lovely and provided everything you could need and more! We loved watching the chickens and ducks walking about and our two little chihuahuas loved it too! Will definitely be back ❤️

The location was great, really beautiful views, and very practical for where we wanted to be.
The cottage was comfortable and a good size for us, and for our local friends who came over to visit for dinner. It had plenty of windows for light and views, all with blinds for privacy. And we really didn't feel overlooked at all, despite being right in the middle of the farm.
We booked at short notice and were still welcomed warmly.
There was a beautifully little garden, though we didn't spent much time there due to the cold weather creeping in and the short duration of our stay. But I could see it being a great asset in the summer months and hopefully we'll get to use the gardens more next time we come to stay (because we absolutely will be back at some point)
I also want to comment on the accessibility, because I have limited mobility. (I use a cane mostly, and sometimes a rollator): The ground is a tiny bit uneven but honestly not anything I couldn't navigate reasonably even with my rollator and honestly impressively even for rural farmland. I had no issues getting around using my cane. There was a moderate step up into the property itself and this would be difficult using anything more than a cane, particularly given it goes into a narrow corridor with a 90 degree corner. This all said, the floors were all level, the beds a reasonable height, the kitchen spacious and easy to navigate and the shower large enough to move in with ease. The small bedrooms were somewhat difficult to navigate around the beds, but the layout of the furniture made this as accessible as possible.
In summary, I would say there is a reasonable degree of accessibility for someone who is generally ambulatory, but for anyone with more severe physical limitations the property may not be suitable.
There were some minor maintenance issues, but nothing that had a particularly negative impact on our stay, and I understand these are things that the owners will address now that they have been brought to their attention.

Quiet setting on the farm. Lovely hot tub with views over the fields and hills. A couple of nice restaurants in the town less than 2 miles away. Friendly family-run business with just a couple of other cottages
All good, nothing to say

If you are looking for a chic farm luxury stay .. come to South Barlogan Farm! My family of 9 booked all three buildings, every little detail made us feel welcome and added that little extra something to our stay. Our host’s Colene and Scot were lovely, warm and welcoming great communication. I wish we had time to stay longer. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland

Our stay at South Barlogan Farm was truly wonderful. The accommodation was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into creating a welcoming space.
The hosts were exceptionally accommodating—friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations for places to visit in the area. One of the highlights for the kids was getting to feed the alpacas and chooks, which made the experience even more special.
The view from the accommodation was breathtaking, overlooking open fields with animals grazing—such a peaceful and idyllic setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique countryside escape.

The Hen Hoose is such a charming little cottage - we had the best time here. It's cosy, warm and comfortable and it has everything to make your stay perfect.
We did a few lovely walks and runs around the farm. It's also a perfect spot for day trips to Loch Lomond and Clyde Muirshiel Park.
Nothing feels better than soaking in the hot tub after a long walk, watching the farm animals.
Thank you Colene and family for an excellent stay!

The farm was excellent. Both my girls had the best stay here, with animals out of the windows and plenty of chances to interact with them.
Colene was a fantastic host, always on hand. The cottage was set up well, with a nice welcome basket and clear information throughout which made the stay easy and comfortable.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back next time we visit Scotland!
So well located, twenty minutes from Glasgow city centre but feels very remote.
The things we didn't like were really very minor, the beds were a little uncomfortable and the washing machine made the lights flicker - really so minor! Still a 10/10 stay!

In the middle of nowhere; peaceful, clean and lovely place to stay. Chickens wandering around and llamas and horses in the field. Bridge of Weir on your doorstep with good places to eat and lots of nice walks for the dogs
The road driving in - single lane full of potholes. The only thing I can say negatively, not an issue, but literally the only thing I didn’t like

Beautiful accommodation and surroundings. Colene has thought of everything - the houses are gorgeous and have everything you could need. Lovely wee treat baskets in each house with some essentials. Beautiful views of the countryside while relaxing in the hot tub. Amazing to meet all of the animals too!

Located just outside of Bridge of Weir, the location was peaceful and tranquil. Easy to find and the cottage is very quaint. Kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and most utensils needed.
The water pressure in the shower was not the greatest, however the water was nice and hot. A few serving bowls would have been appreciated.

It's a great wee place. Has been decorated lovely and space well utilised. Lovely and cosy. Met by Colene who was lovely (and the alpacas). Highly recommend the Indian FROM Kilmacolm for a takeaway. We had ideal weather to use the hot tub and enjoy the view x
It's not a dislike but we like to walk to dog friendly places near by and bridge of weir was only 40 min walk which is ideal when you have a dog but getting to the cycle path wasn't the easiest from the farm. Once on path could choose to go either to Bridge of Weir or Kilmacolm - great path for walking x

South Barlogan Farm was a lovely quite rural escape form everyday life, yet within easy reach of Glasgow and Loch Lomond. the cottage was a comfortable size for a family of four with two bedrooms bathroom and open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. everything you needed was there from bath towels to washing up liquid, to board games and books to the lovely welcome box of scones and fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. beautiful views over the hills. we really enjoyed our stay

The location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway, views for the hot tub are insane & so many friendly animals to keep you company whilst chilling out with a tea or prosecco in the evening! Giving Henry & Toledo their breakfast was a really cherry on top of the best cake ever :)
Everything was perfect, if I was being super fussy then a larger mirror would have been handy when we were getting ready for our friends wedding.

The convenience - close by to our daughter’s home in Johnstone. Roomy enough to be able to spend time with our grandchildren. Coleen was very approachable and even put a new BBQ out for us! 😀👍
The dining room chairs were not the nicest to sit on as we played card games. The back support was uncomfortable. There were plenty of cushions but still we did not like the chairs 😢

This is a delightful place to stay. The Coo Shed is charming well equipped accommodation. I particularly liked having the dogs and chickens and alpacas coming round to say hello.

Quiet and peaceful rural location yet still close to town. Completely renovated cottage with all the necessary amenities. Comfortable living space. Friendly and helpful hosts.
We did not find the beds to be very comfortable, but that is just our personal opinion. Everything else was great!

WOW! Fantastic weekend in the beautiful new Hen Hoose. Such a special space, cosy and beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches. It had everything we needed and the hot tub was fantastic! The views from the lodge and the hot tub were incredible and being able to BBQ outside and cook inside when the weather wasn't so helpful was very flexible.
We were so lucky to find this place as its so new. The passing Alpacas and seeing the other animals on the farm was very nice too. Cant recommend enough and planning a return trip soon! thank you,
