Economical, clean and safe, no luxuries.

The location was excellent, a block away from Museum Luas and Houston station. This is a college student dormitory during the year so it is a very safe compound, and all the buildings have access keys. There is a common area with TV, pool table, vending machines, comfy study cubbies, etc. The staff is composed by students who are extremely polite and helpful.

Because it is a student dormitory during, the rooms rented over the summer don’t have the amenities a hotel room would have. There is no TV or large comfortable bed with fancy linens. The bed was full size only although I reserved the room for two people; there is no daily housekeeping and they only give you one towel per person per the whole stay (I was there for 6 days). There is no air conditioning but they would lend you fans at the front desk, same for hair dryers.

Staff was friendly and kind. They provided a good service.

Room was not clean, there was dust all over the place and even a spider web on the ceiling. Our stay was during June, the room was at 29°C, and they did not have any air conditioner/ceiling fan to cool it down so we had to ask for a couple of portable fans.

Budget

Location was handy.

Lack of any soap/bathroom essentials. Room was absolutely tiny. Way smaller that what the pictures indicated. People from street can see into the room when the blinds were open. Hallways were dirty. Doors automatically slam and you can’t get a good nights sleep with the noise everywhere and the tiny uncomfortable bed.

Cheap, but it is student accommodation not an affordable hotel, and staff weren’t very helpful.

The location was good being close to Heuston station, and price was very good.

Firstly, this is not an “affordable hotel” as it markets itself as: its student accommodation, and the name outside doesn’t line up with what it lists itself as so it was quite hard to locate at first. The staff were very unhelpful, saying they would refill our toilet paper on the morning we ran out of the two rolls. We came back to it not replaced. I asked again, and the staff said they would look for some in storage and proceed to chat amongst themselves for half an hour whilst I stood waiting. I ultimately decided I had to go to the shop to refill, as they weren’t going to do it. The room was boiling and to their credit the staff gave us a fan, but that did very little and the window wouldn’t open much. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows they gave us really hurt our necks. Walls very thin.

Only book for location

The location. It was nice to stay in an area, where you can see locals visit restaurants and such. Stoneybatter has a lot of nice food options and we enjoyed walking to the city centre.

The room was - as we expected - small and the bed only 120cm. It could be expressed more clearly on the hotelsite. The room was however not clean, with dust on the surfaces and with hairs in the towels. No roomkeeping during our 5 night stay and no information about our stay at all. It was not possible to acquire an extra pillow and it was frowned upon, when we on day 4 asked for more toilet paper. It took 3 hours to recieve any, and only after asking 3 different people at the reception. The walls are paper thin and the corridor stank of marijuana.

Very pleasant and hassle free would stay again

Very friendly helpful staff, very clean, very well located and great facilities

The room was quite hot and it was a bit difficult getting air in while having privacy as the window and blind was floor to ceiling and the window only opened slightly. Since our room looked onto a house this got a bit awkward. But this is a small issue.

It was clean, protected and close enough to city center.

I thought I booked a hotel (Altido Hotel) but this property is student housing; basically a dorm room. The name Altido appears no where on the property that I could find. That is very misleading. I was on the 3rd floor and upon entering the correct building saw no sign to the lift and after hauling my luggage up the 3 flights of stairs, then found the lift! Aaarrrggg! The sink in my room didn’t drain well, even after an attempt to clear it by the staff.

All rooms had a bathroom, it was warm, there was free coffee, it was clean. We had good communication with the staff.

There was no hot water in some rooms. The beds were small and had an uncomfortable mattress.

Good location and good facilities if you plan to be out the majority of the time. Get what you pay for in that area of town.

No kettle. Wasn’t very clean when we got there. Sink wouldn’t drain properly, one of the towels were stained and there was a mould patch on the sheet. Floor was also not cleaned at all.

I will not recommend stay there …..

The location is not bad if someone is thinking visit the Guinness factory. The security and room were ok.

Not breakfast. We have a problem with the room card and no ones was able to desplace it because it was weekend and the person that issue the cards doesn’t work weekends. We have to go back to the accommodation before 12am if we want to sleep in the room.

Bed was comfortable

My sink was plugged for all 4 days of my stay and couldn’t use it. Told staff who did nothing except make excuses. No hot water for 3 of 4 nights. Ended up taking a cold shower the day I left which was today. I will never recommend this place or stay there again. I expect to be compensated for my poor experience with a credit to my credit card.

Good location, very spacious room. However, the air conditioning did not work. Would caution against doing laundry here as well, about €8 for one load of laundry. Other than that, it was very clean and a fun student accommodation.

Can't they change bedding if you there longer than a week I had to get on my knees to clean the floor with My face cloth at least they can come and sweep I don't book in with a broom Staff does not know how the laundromat work For that price I expected a bit more

A double room was booked but in reality the bed we were provided with was a three quarter bed rather than a double which made for cramped sleeping arrangements.
