Great location, close to the sea with magnificent scenary

Convenient location, very comfortable, well equipped able to cook simple meals if required. Ray met us when arrived, explained and demonstrated where and how all the switches and controls worked. He also provided information on places of interest and recommendations on where to eat.

Exit from the parking area. It was difficult to see oncoming traffic, albeit very slow.

Loved the very comfortable king size bed! Location excellent! Were golfing so great place to stay for range of courses ..lovely restaurant carrigart one 8 round the corner…great big towels, spotlessly clean!

Perfect for our stay!

Very happy with our stay. It met our needs perfectly. Nice location; just by the shops one way and the beautiful Strand beach the other. Was more spacious than expected. It had everything we needed for our short stay to visit family. Would stay again and recommend. Thanks Ray - excellent host.

A toaster would have been great - we toasted bread in top of the oven which was fine, but a toaster is more economically energywise!

It was very clean.

It was advertised as a luxury beach front appartment. It wasn't, it was down a drive way . Opposite a Lough ,views of Lough Wer very limited. No pub in carrickhart. There is a hotel but it looks very poor.

Spacious apartment. Well equipped kitchen Comfortable bed. Homely and clean and animal friendly. Helpful host

View from lounge and bedroom was into a car park (not what we expected)and there were workmen outside from 9am each morning painting the adjoining building so felt very overlooked

Ray was lovely and answered any questions I had. Very friendly and helpful. Apartment was.so clean and had all we needed. Would high recommend. Close to the beach and shop just around the corner.

There was nothing I didn't like. Weather could have behaved itself but Ray couldn't help with that, he would if he could.

A lovely and cosy seafront apartment. We had our two year old German Shepherd boy with us. He never settled anywhere that quick. He made it home straight away. Lovely walks nearby for dog owners. Overall experience was very welcoming. We made the booking around 3pm and the apartment was ready for us by 6pm. 10/10. We would love to go back.

Lost opportunities due to ineffective town and hinterland management.

Cleanliness

No focal point to village- no village pub ? Village cafe was closed for winter and restaurants were only open in the evening and were overpriced. A night out would be very costly as to avoid drink driving a taxi round trip would be necessary.Also Downings pub grub was not of very good standard and was overpriced.The only place with any atmosphere was the Harbour Bar/restaurant which was also a little bit pricey.Lovely village but badly marketed and badly serviced for facilities.Locals need to come together to address above issues-otherwise people will not come back to the village or the surroundings- a great shame as the area is one of outstanding natural beauty and a potential Gold Mine.
