Very warm and comfortable for a winter stay.

The cottage is in an ideal location, looking out over the bay and only a short distance from the main street. The tide goes out a long way leaving extensive sands which make for an excellent walk to the sea or for sitting in the bay window with binoculars watching the birds feeding.. Dunfanaghy has a good mix of shops, two supermarkets and several cafes and restaurants. The cottage has two bathrooms and three toilets, a utility room, a large open-plan living area and is filled with light, even when the weather is dreich. There's lots of outside space (which we didn't use because it was winter). We had comfortable beds, good heating, plenty to do and were sorry our stay ended.

Someone needs to invent a better lock box which isn't as fiddly to open.

The perfect getaway.

Amazing views from front window. A couple of minutes walk from town centre. Love this area with beautiful beaches, including the one right on the doorstep. House was really well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the log burner. Spotlessly clean. Can't wait to return to this lovely home from home.

Beautiful cosy house with a great location in Dunfanaghy and fantastic views of the beach. Kitchen was very well equiped ,comfortable bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and lovely garden. Very friendly and helpful host. Would definitely return.

Awesome home-stay in a stunningly beautiful and convenient location!

Very nice, large flat in the PERFECT location - on a super quiet road (at least in October), just off Main Street and a two-minute walk to many pubs and restaurants. The location faces the bay, offering an easy, convenient and awesome walk along the beach - to the sea (with dramatically changing scenery due to the large diurnal tidal fluctuations, also viewed from the sitting areas at the front of the flat). The house is quite comfortable and contains everything needed for a short or long stay, including a small wood stove/fireplace. Convenient parking is just outside the front door along the edge of the quiet roadway. We highly recommend this accommodation and it would definitely be our #1 choice when we return to beautiful Dunfanaghy someday! Thank you for allowing us to visit Gillian - we wish we could have met in person. :-)

No real dislikes - just two minor inconveniences: the directions to find the flat were a bit vague as several adjacent homes looked very similar (it took us a couple attempts to find the correct flat) & after purchasing a box of briquettes for the fireplace (which didn't burn very well) - we discovered a black bin outside next the waste/recycle bins (as we were leaving) containing a LOT of small pieces of wood that likely would have helped us build great fires! Probably more our own issues than anything though as Gillian was reachable by phone, but we didn't inquire in time. ;-)

Donegal gem

Perfect location to walk to the cafes, bars and shops of Dunfanaghy. Could look right out the window at a spectacular view of Sheephaven Bay. Nice to have a washing machine and drying rack. Stove was available for an evening fire, but we never used it. The owner checked with us a couple of times to make sure we were happy with the accommodation .

WIFI was a little weak, but worked better near the front window- minor inconvenience.

A great relaxed stay and a nice alternative to staying in hotels.

The photos don't do the property justice. It is a very comfortable, spotless and cosy spot to spend some relaxing "down time". You could sit in the bay window looking over the water and completely chill out.

Wi-fi was a bit slow at times, but this is not a fault of the property. The options at the nearby supermarket are a bit limited so keep this in mind if stocking up on supplies.

El alojamiento fue superior a lo esperado, con vistas inmejorables, todas las necesidades incluidas,(lavadora, lavavajillas, chimenea, 2 baños 1 aseo, utensilios de cocina... parking justo delante de la casa, a dos minutos del supermercado) En fin, por supuesto que repetiremos, sin duda !!!

Sinceramente, poco a destacar, posiblemente sería aconsejable secadora, pero en fin, no veo ningún inconveniente en no disponer de ella.
