The Poplars, 1,36 Magnus St - Delightful unit with panoramic water views, pool, Linen, Aircon & Wifi

Great location, great outlook. Clean and well presented.

Spacious light apartment with extensive outdoor dining terrace fronting on to grassed area and beautiful gum trees with superb views over the bay and marina. Ideal for watching the constant boat traffic. Excellent quiet location five minute drive or easy stroll into town centre and marina with a variety of eateries and shops. Quality bed linen, pillows and towels. There is a good sized pool on the premises, however, as it is immediately beside and below the apartment, noise carries which is especially intrusive late in the evening – there is no curfew for use.

Mostly well-equipped although window and door hardware needs maintenance: difficult to slide and lock. Missing some inclusions basic for extended stays (we stayed 5 nights): no coat hangers, only 1 bedside table and no microwave cooking dishes other than the tableware. Poor management by cleaner or letting agent after guests depart: many glasses had baked on residue, while some others in cupboard were unwashed. Chipped and stained mug and broken knife put back in cupboard. 2 large cockroaches on our first evening. Windows and doors not repaired. Very confusing and conflicting information from McGrath (O’Meara) letting agent whose office staff seem uninformed and demanded unnotified banking details for key collection which we could not provide. Distances to nearby restaurants quoted on booking.com site are totally wrong: not 10-50 metres, but 750+!

The location was good and views were fabulous

The property was a little tired and grubby, in need of maintenance and general cleanliness could be improved, especially crockery and cutlery. The pool was closed!
