L'Attico Fuggente

I loved staying here! I felt like i was part of the local Italian family :) I got a warm welcome and had my own room in their top floor apartment with a shared bathroom (had to myself though) and the view from the terrace is great! From all sides, castle view from one and vesuvius from another - being on my own I really enjoyed feeling like I was coming “home” as it was literally inside an italian apartment with a door man at the front - a nice difference from a normal hotel - there is a sitting area on the terrace both covered and uncovered plz note though (and this is not specific to this property its all around Napoli) that its 10c to use the lift each time there is a place inside you insert the coin and use it, the door man can give you change - for me this didnt matter as i like using the stairs This is a rustic beautiful italian home with so much local charm - it gives more than what a typical mainstream hotel with the same rooms can give TRAIN STATION & airport distance Main reason i stayed here was for the short 15min walk from the main train station and the Alibus airport bus that drops you off there and from the apartment its a 10walk to the old town Eleonara was a great host and a beautiful person! I also met her lovely mum and tried practicing my Italian :) Highly recommend esp if traveling as solo female

Il posto è molto bello e ben collegato, in un bel palazzo con una bella terrazza. L'interno è pulito e completo.

Unica nota negativa è il fatto che le stanze sono separate solo da una porta e quindi si sente tutto ciò che accade nella stanza accanto

La struttura è ideale per chi si sposta con i mezzi pubblici: a 10 min a piedi dalla stazione centrale e a 5 min a piedi dalla metro Duomo. Si possono raggiungere in tempi brevi tutti i posti principali del centro storico. Il mare è a due passi e si può ammirare dalla bella terrazza che offre la struttura (perfetta anche per chi in vacanza ama rilassarsi al sole grazie ai lettini messi a disposizione degli ospiti). Dulcis in fundo la super gentilezza della padrona di casa che ci ha accolte come persone di famiglia. Che altro aggiungere? Prenotate con anticipo perchè è sempre super gettonata! :)

Piccolo suggerimento per migliorare l'accoglienza in camera : visto che non è prevista la colazione in struttura, sarebbe carino trovare in camera qualche confort food come biscotti, merendine e caffè (con macchinetta a cialde).

Close to the train station. Has a good view of Mt Vesuvius and Capri Island. Elevator for 6 flights of stairs. Great pizza nearby.

This ‘hotel’ is actually just a private room in someone’s house. You have to walk through a living area and kitchen and then outdoors to get to your room. This at times was a bit awkward when the owners were cooking and you just wanted to go to your room without having to make small talk late at night. They also had a dog that barked constantly when going to your room. The owners were friendly and gave us good information but she was incredibly pushy about getting cash for the council tax - this made us feel quite uncomfortable as anytime we bumped into her she asked us for money. We were used to leaving the cash with the key once checked out as this is what we had done in all other hotels in Italy and Europe. The location is in an okay area, a little bit rough at night but close to most things.
